We ordered food for pickup online and the online process was fine. There were no instructions on the website regarding pickup instructions so we assumed we would go inside to pick it up like every other restaurant we have online ordered from. We arrive at the restaurant and walk onto the patio and through an open door into the restaurant and are rudely told we can't be inside the restaurant and have to leave. It wasn't a polite "I'm sorry, indoor dining is closed but you can wait on the patio." Instead it was "You can't be in here and have to wait outside." Um, ok, a sign outside indicating this would have been nice or a note on your website. When we get back on the patio we see there is a sign on the door stating not to enter . . . but the door is wide open so you can't see the sign when walking into Thai Archer.
We wait a bit and get our food. Upon walking back to the car we see there is a pickup window which is another piece of information that would be nice to include on their website when ordering to go.
We get to our home which is less than a mile away and all of the food is barely warm. The portions were good and the flavor was ok.
I would probably return but I recommend that Thai Archer actually put some information on their website regarding a)their indoor dining policies and b)that they have a...
Read morewell I just got an order of yellow chicken curry to go, she explained to me how small the portions were so I got a green curry to go with it. for both curries and the thai tea was under 15$ so to me I'd say thats a good deal for good curry. I say good because I was waiting in the lobby area and it smelled great. I could see the place looked clean and I liked the arrangement of their tables. when I drove back to Rush Valley out in tooele county and opened it up I was surprised to see a little egg roll, some kind of salad and a pot sticker along with the curry and rice. (btw to the bad reviewers nothing spilled and I drive a 94' GMC with it sitting on the front seat). the curry and the extra stuff tasted great, even the rice still tasted good after an hour and 20 minute ride. I got the #2 spicy. the green was a little more spicy than the yellow but both tasted just like the taste of any real thai I've ever experienced and I've been to Thailand. I like the containers being like soup containers so it can hold more juice without spilling allover. the only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because when she gave me the food she forgot about the bill. if I was a scum bag I could have just walked out of there but I reminded her. so please I hope you read this review and it be a reminder to never forget...
Read moreThis is one of all time favorite restaurants and special even among Thai places. The interior is spacious but still feels cozy, service is very attentive, and everything I've had so far has been excellent. Today I got the Lunch Special with #6 Pahd Prik Khing Chicken (red curry stir fry) and #14 Tom Yum Tahu (hot and sour soup with tofu). The special comes with a salad and appetizers to start. The salad was simple and fresh: lettuce, cabbage and carrot with a delicious sweet and tangy sauce -- great as always. The cheese wontons and pork dumpling were wonderfully savory and crispy. Both my selections were just fabulous. Based on other reviews I ordered them at level 2 spicy, which was still quite spicy and perfect for me. The red curry stir fry sauce was rich and delicious -- the lime leaf was a highlight for me -- and the Tom Yum was complex with sour and spice. Some places the Tom Yum just tastes like white vinegar and cayenne, but not here; it was a really good balance with great flavor. And the jasmine rice? Perfect. My friend got the Pahd Ga Pow (Thai basil stir fry) and gave me a bite. It was so complex and subtle I almost -- almost -- wished I'd ordered it instead of one of mine. I'll order it next...
