We were staying in the area during an evacuation, and this place was such an excellent little escape we visited it twice in the same week. I am not into sushi, so I had the Teriyaki Chicken Hibachi dinner, while my wife had the spider roll, the avocado and eel, and the California roll. We also had the Pomegranate Margaritas and they were delicious! That was the best Teriyaki chicken I have ever had in my life! I tend to be a very picky eater, but the flavors were blended so well and had a slight sweetness to it that made me want to stuff myself to the gills. And I did, because the portions were enormous. I had plenty of leftovers to take home and enjoy. We sat at the hibachi grill our first visit, and at a booth the second. Watching the chef do tricks and such and cook the food right in front of us was a fun experience, and all the staff we interacted with were gracious and friendly. I forgot to specify I wanted steamed rice the first time, but no one gave me any hassle or acted inconvenienced that I needed to change the order after it had already been put in, even though it was completely my mistake. My wife says the sushi was incredible. The presentation was beautiful and she said it tasted great. We were so impressed with the food and friendly service that both times we checked in with the manager just to let him know. We are planning to move to the area soon and this will definitely be a regular date-night spot for us.

This restaurant is in bad need of updating and repair. Yes the food is good, but don’t wear shorts because almost all the seats are torn and dig into your legs. Also the bathrooms are comparable to a shady truck stop bathroom. I mean they are BAD! Including bad smells. You can tell they tried to repaint the bathroom but whoever did it, just didn’t give AF because there is overspray everywhere. They even have graffiti written in the color of the recent paint. I just don’t understand charging such high prices and then letting your restaurant get so dilapidated. It is definitely a turn off and makes one wonder what shape the kitchen is in. Take more pride in your restaurant and just do some basic maintenance.

Came here with some friends for lunch. It was a cozy spot while we sat at the bar, which was comfortable. Chris was great. He took our orders and made sure our water glasses were ful. The hit sake was nice for a colder type of day alon with the miso soup that came with our lunch combo. My spicy tuna rolls were delicious while my steak was really tender. (got it medium rare.) The chicken was flavorful as well. The amount of fried rice was more than enough for two people. Would recommend trying for anyone who enjoys hibachi style food or sushi.

Your experience is entirely dependant on the chief you get. I promise you the best chiefs there are Alex and Jason. The others are ok but some cook their rice different which imo isn't as good as the two mentioned. The only negative exp I had was when asking for a specific chief the hostess asked me why not chef X and I plainly stated 'I didn't like how he cooked his rice, he is heavy on butter and very light on soy sauce mix, no big deal though like my friend prefers him but I don't.' She then sat me beside the table he was cooking at and told him 'He hates the way you cook your rice.' while pointing back at me. I bit my tongue for what I wanted to say to her for that. He looked at me confused and sort of offended and being put on the spot I stated "its nothing personal, I just dont like the way you cook your rice, doesn't mean you're a bad cook?" he just stared at me and went back to cooking for the opposite table... But here is what did it for me to not go back, for the rest of my dining exp every freaking person who came out of the kitchen was staring at me... Why? did they rub my steak on their butts or wipe the floor with it before bringing it out to cook in front of me? Did she blow my statement out of proportion? Did they lie? Did the cook who was obviously offended say something out of context to his fellow co-workers? who knows... they didn't get the cook I requested (not a big deal tbh) but the one who did come to the table cooked the rice exactly the way I didn't like, heavy butter and very light on soy mix. Almost like a fu to the crappy customer who complained or something. I don't hold any grudges but it was enough for me to write that place off for good sadly. I was a regular who tipped...

Bonsai Garden! We came in at 9:30 to eat and the girl at the front to seat people said we couldn’t sit at a grill had to sit at a booth because they were about to close, so somehow she reiterated it once again we are about to close, and I’m like ok why are you repeating what you told me, as she turns the corner this (MGR) lady which I didn’t know looked at me kindve crazy, and I’m like what was that for, so we are seated and the kids went outside real quick and I watch a party Of 3 come in and I’m watching , well claimingly they are about to close, but seat them at a grill so now I’m furious, I ask the guy at the bar who’s the mgr well I guess he’s a mgr too, and I was like how do they get to sit at a grill and we don’t , so I get up at sit at the grill, well there party of 8 gets seated with no problem, if that was the case of closing they could’ve put 2 tabletops of 4 together, well with our waiter I ask if there was a owner here and not a mgr. we the (MGR) lady ran real quick to see what was going on when I was talking to the OWNER! He didn’t say much but the little (MGR) With the glasses sure had something to say but didn’t know what was going on, I’m pretty sure I wanted To make the front lady cry, this was horrible service tonight just trynna get seated!

Sorry for the rant but I wanted a grill just...
