Havertys Furniture — Local services in San Angelo

Given the upstanding reputation and good quality furniture, I decided to stop in and look around one afternoon to kill some time. I was immediately greeted by the most enthusiastic and friendly sales associate and felt completely at ease and comfortable. I almost felt like I was stepping into a home of an old friend to best describe it. I really had no intention of buying anything at the moment since my home is already fully furnished, but thought I’d get good visual ideas as far as maybe updating my layouts and decor. The store was beautifully staged and I immediately found so many pieces I didn’t really think I’d change out with the ones currently in my home. The sales associate graciously led me around after considerately asking if I would rather look alone, which typically I prefer. But I really enjoyed his personable nature and loved pretending I was shopping with a friend. I definitely ended up staying longer than intended and with a whole list of beautiful pieces of furniture and accent pieces that will look perfect in my home. I am currently convincing my husband that it is necessary and vital that we buy everything I’ve chosen. He’s almost given in. Thank you so much to Jay Norwood at the San Angelo store for making what started as a boring and unproductive afternoon into a fantastic experience and hopefully updated and exciting new living space!!! We've furnished 80% of a 3500 sq.ft home with havertys furniture and art and are very pleased with the quality. We've bought everything on sale and when they have free delivery and set up, so the cost is very comparable to the lesser quality furnishings fromother stores in town. The only thing I would say is a drawback to this store, when I want to browse and just check stuff out, the sales staff can be a bit pushy and follow you around everywhere with question after question and wanting to talk the whole time. Sometimes I just want to shop and look for myself. I know they are trained that way, but we are familiar faces in the store and they know we will buy when we are ready and when we've picked what we want, so take it easy on us please lol. Norma was excellent, informative, and attentive on several visits prior purchase. She was very instrumental in the decision making process. We are more than satisfied with the purchase and excellent customer service provided. So much so, we will be back soon!

Update (09/12/2024) - Our furniture was delivered and wow! Not only are we in love with the product but the service provided was exceptional!
