Owners Ego is bigger than he is-

In my 3.5 months at donutopia, I saw two decorators quit, and more than five staff be fired. Robert would publicly demean staff during their terminations, leaving customers and remaining staff shocked. He spoke nastily about past employees after having no issues with them during their employment. Robert has had customers vocally upset and disgusted, over hearing him loudly broadcasting his opinions on political groups, women’s rights, and things he has no business speaking of an a professional setting. He demands loyalty and respect, but shows none of it to his staff or customers in the way he talks down on anyone different from him and fires people on a whim. despite being consistent in my work and honest with him from the day I was hired (with zero issues until today), he fired me with no true reasoning and called me both a liar and untrustworthy. You may have a good product, but you are way off from running a successful business if you can’t keep employees. is the reason you can’t keep people because you keep hiring bad eggs, or is it because you’re an arrogant rude self-righteous boss that can’t ever be wrong or challenged? You keep begging for proper help and loyalty, but refuse an ounce of it to your staff. I am beyond disappointed with how today ended, and I toyed heavily with writing this. I believe it is important though that people get the warning I wish I got. Robert there is a not thing wrong with Donutopia…. other than you. And anyone who wants to work here, don’t expect much...

I went there a few days ago and noticed that the total was higher than I was expecting so I asked for my receipt which I have never done before. The girl at the counter input all my items on the counter register machine and then when it gave her the total, she input that total on the handheld credit card machine reader which then read a higher total. I was confused so I asked why that was and she said it was the tax. That's when I asked for the receipt. The first total already included tax so when she input it to the credit card machine, it double taxed me again. I told her what had happened and she apologized but said "my boss is aware we are double taxing customers, but he said he doesn't care because people never ask for their receipt so we have to keep doing this." This is not only unethical and wrong, but illegal. They are stealing from their loyal customers who think they are supporting a small business. Will never be going...

This place has such awesome reviews but I don't know why. I wanted to try the red velvet donut that everyone seems to be raving about in the reviews. Came in and it took about a few minutes till someone greeted us. Red velvet is not available. The person that helped us was nice. I ordered the donutopia philly cheese stake . I figured I cannot go wrong with the "signature dish." It took awhile for them to make it and we got entertained with a loud unprofessional discussion with the boss and an employee. This employee was loud and rambunctious. The boss tried to calm him down but to no avail. My order finally came and it was disappointment. There was hardly any meat in it. I only got 5 small pieces. More tiny green bell peppers and onions. It had processed cheese aswell. I tried the maple barbarian cream donut and it was good, but its not enough for me to come back and eat at donutopia again... I do not consider this place as...

I came here today and it’s a nice lil spot. The donuts look very interesting. I got a croissant with bacon and egg and a velvet doughnut, covered in chocolate with what I assume to be Oreos. I was so hungry I forgot to take a pic of the croissant. I asked them for so hot sauce and was handed a salsa. Now firstly the egg in my croissant was rubbery but I think it was because I had the kind lady warm it up. So maybe that is why it was a lil tough to eat . Idk. But secondly. The salsa was spicy which I liked but a tad bit saltier then I’d like a salsa to be. Got home and I am eating the donut and it’s decent. All in all an ok experience. Pups def try some more of their donuts.

I had some friends tell me that this place has the biggest best donuts so I had to check them out. The donuts here are ginormous and are delicious. They have your standard glazed and chocolate covered but they have some amazing specialty donuts. They have cereal topped donuts and maple bacon donuts. They also have bearclaws, filled donuts, and I heard someone ordering a hamburger donut. My favorite was the maple glazed old fashioned. The staff is super helpful, one down side is I didn't see any pricing listed, all I know is the regular donuts are $0.80 and a dozen donut holes was $1.50.

I have nothing but good things to say about this business. I have used them for two of my closest family members birthdays. They personalized donuts with alphabet letters for both of them and they were awesome. I was beyond please and my family was tickled pink on their birthdays. I don't live in San Angelo yet they made it convenient for me to call in advance place the order, and trust them with this birthday surprise, and pay for it at my convenience. Their artistic creative ability is off the charts. Definitely worth it and they are inexpensive.
