I've never had a worse Starbucks experience and that's saying a lot as a frequent Starbucks-er. The first time I went here, they told me they never have decaf iced coffee. Every other Starbucks I've ever been to has. It was also 3 pm, so most people are not going to get caffeinated coffee at this time. The second time I came here, they were out of croissants but left the sign up for them in the bakery cabinet. I ordered a regular latte, which I waited for for 10 minutes. I could barely flag one of the employees down to ask about it despite standing at the counter for 5 more minutes. Some girl finally replied, "Oh yeah......... I gave it to someone in the drive through." Another girl asked, "So do you need a regular latte?" Uh, yeah! They then took another 5 minutes to make it, didn't call it out, so it was just sitting on the bar. I had to go up myself and ask if this was my latte. I also don't like how they don't take your name. They should be calling out the drink with a name so drinks aren't left on the bar. Today was the worst, however. I ordered in the drive through and then waited at the window for over 10 minutes for my latte. The barista was not apologetic. She shrugged and told me my sticker didnât print. They should have comped my order and didnât. I let it go. It wasnât worth pressing yaw issue.
However, the situation got worse when I sipped my drink once I exited the parking lot. My drink was not, in fact, a latte. It was a cafĂ© au lait. I have been drinking Starbucks lattes for over 20 years. I worked as a barista at a Starbucks for 2.5 years. I am very aware of the difference in taste between an espresso drink and a drip coffee drink. In addition to that, I removed the lid and not only was there no milk foam, there was dip coffee bubbles. But I order 3 cake pops and a bake good. I waited 20 minutes for them. They didnât even let me speak and only focus on the drive through. I even came to the front to ask the employees about them. They completely ignore me and continue conversation about their day with one another. And then another employee came in and saw my order (which I knew it was mine because it had my name) toss my name to the side and give it to customer in drive through.
