My fiancé and I love coming to the grill for Sunday brunch. However this morning we had our worst and most disappointing experience. We did not get the appetizer we ordered and our food came out fast. Which wasn’t a huge deal, but the brisket hash I ordered was not good at all. Basically just a bunch of half melted cheese in a bowl of juice with soaked potatoes. I ordered an over medium egg which was great, I ate it and liked it. Then I exchanged the brisket hash for the steak ranchero which I usually get. The eggs were not cooked over medium so I asked for one over medium egg and it was cooked over medium well. The crispy bacon I ordered was cold and chewy, but my fiancé ate it so it was fine. Our server Mallory was not very concerned about any of this. She seemed like she just wanted us to leave since I asked for my food to be fixed and my eggs cooked over medium. Also we wanted to get the bread pudding dessert that we love and also get but she just took our plates and gave us the ticket so we paid and left. We could also see and hear other servers talking about us, so I guess customer service is not very important to the grill. I literally just wanted to exchange my dish which happens in restaurants all the time. We were fine with paying for the food we got and even part of the brisket hash that I ate, but the service was horrible especially with other staff members talking about us right in front of us. Like danm I just wanted to exchange my dish for something I liked. I did not realize I was causing...

Fairly underwhelming experience on a Thursday evening just after 7pm. I was by myself on a business trip, and a San Angelo local told me that I just HAD to try this place, especially given that I was staying at one of the Marriott properties on Southwest Blvd. Sat at the bar (I was alone), and it was pretty busy. It took one of the barkeeps a few minutes to acknowledge me, but she took my drink order immediately (jalapeño martini for $5 on Thursdays). Then I waited another 10 minutes to order another and ask about the menu.

On her recommendation, I ordered the meatloaf, and was mildly disappointed when it came out: it was served on a big white platter, and there was so much white space on the platter that it was sad. Two slices of meatloaf over on one side, and a single scoop of mashed potatoes on the other side, no gravy, no attempt at any kind of presentation. The meatloaf was alright, the mashed potatoes were fine, but it just felt like not much food, or anything that would make this memorable for $21. I would’ve been much happier with the $15 fish tacos.

I paid my bill and left quickly. Given the amount of time I had to wait between getting my first drink order in and my food order taken, I wasn’t there more than 30 minutes. I don’t think I’ll be back, there’s too many other good places to eat in San Angelo that actually have a decent atmosphere. This place felt very cramped, very busy, and not much effort made to make it a pleasing experience for a...

We have eaten here before, but it’s been awhile. Everything was scrumptious.

The appetizers were good. Skillet cornbread (my boys loved that it had corn in it,) it was sweet and savory. So good! The queso and guac were fine, well the guacamole was delicious, but I don’t love cold queso. It was very much a texture similar to pimento cheese. The flavors were great and we ate every bite, I just prefer traditional queso.

We had the steak salad, the mesquite grilled salmon, and the fish tacos. All there were EXCELLENT. The steak was cooked to perfection and the combination of ingredients in the salad was divine!! The salmon was spectacular, though none of us cared for whatever vinaigrette sort of sauce on the broccoli. It had a strong taste of either wasabi or horseradish. And the fish tacos were so good that I made everyone try them and they all wished they had ordered it. I would have LOVED to have more of the slaw that was underneath the fish. Gosh it was soooo good!!!! The kitchen was so kind to leave off the blackening seasoning, as I just don’t care for it. They seasoned it perfectly!!

We had a couple of drinks. The pineapple margarita was good, but the pomegranate mule was the star!! I’m going to have to learn how to...

So happy I stumbled across this place! I needed to get my phone repaired at Sprint and it was going to be a 2 hour wait. The Grill was next door, so I figured I could grab a bite to eat. It happened to be happy hour, so I ordered the nachos and the queso/guacamole/salsa app. My server, Diana, recommended the Pumpkin Spice martini and I am so glad I took her advise. I LOVED everything I ordered. The martini was delish! I'm not usually a pumpkin spice kind of girl, but this was great...not too sweet or desserty. The queso isn't like traditional ones you find at Mexican restaurants. It's more like beer cheese...similar to a pimento cheese spread. It was fantastic! I highly recommend you try the nachos as well. The service here is excellent. It was quite chilly out, but the patio was covered and had heaters, so I decided to sit out there. Diana knew I would be here for a while and checked on me just the right amount of times. She was super sweet and always had a big smile. If you ever need a place to go for happy hour or dinner with friends, this is the perfect spot. They also have WiFi too.

Came here to eat brunch at the recommendation of a friend. The grill is in a strip mall near Sam's club and Kohls. The parking is limited and a small parking lot. We were seated quickly after walking in. They offer inside and patio service. It's a little tight on the seating, you can hear the conversations of the people behind you fairly well. The service is where I felt like this place stood out. Our drink order was taken quickly and brought out in a timely manner. Our drinks were refilled regularly as well which was nice. We placed our order and our appetizer came out and after we finished that our entrees came out. We ordered the queso and guac for the appetizer, which was an interesting take on queso and guac. The guac was ok but the queso was an interesting chesse ball curd, the flavor was good but the texture was off. Our food came out and was fine except I ordered the birria tacos and was expecting grilled tacos, fried in the drippings but it was a build your taco kind of plate. Overall great experience and good food, im sure we will be back.
