ONLINE ACCOUNT CLOSED About 3 months ago my HEB online account was closed due to an "invalid card", so I just started using my online Walmart app with delivery exclusively. Walmart is less expensive on most items, and I love the delivery service, but I prefer HEB's produce and meats. So I finally called HEB to see about fixing my online account. A very nice young woman with HEB's customer service explained to me (somewhat hesitantly) that my account was actually closed due to "excessive add-ons". She apologized that there was no policy or warning stated on their app about it, and that the explanation for cancelling my account was completely invalid. It had nothing to do with my card. I was granted a "one time reinstatement" of my online account with a caution about excessive add-ons. I asked what the limits are, and she apologized again because there are no guidelines as to what exactly is considered excessive. Will I be banned for life if I unwittingly go over the limit again? Lol.. Come on HEB, if there is a limited number of items or dollar amount your customers can add to an order after submitting payment, please SAY SO on the app. Don't just cut your customers off. I was aggravated at the situation, and you lost 3 months of my business because of this very poor business practice, and right now I'm not sure I will go back to using HEB. I have to assume others have had the same frustrating experience. Your app has a cut-off time for add-ons, so why can't you have a cut-off for excessive add-ons? PLEASE...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe decided to try the new HEB for my niece's wedding cake because we've gotten so many nice special occasion cakes at the older location. I had to call 3 times to get the wedding consultation appointment and ended up not being able to go with my niece due to having a sick baby. When my niece arrived she was told that she couldn't have any of her questions answered because the decorator wasn't there today, the same lady I had scheduled the original appointment with. She was then left with all of her questions still unanswered. When I called the bakery manager (Kelley), to ask why our consultation wasn't rescheduled if the decorator wasn't available, she was extremely rude and told me that there were pictures available online, so unless she wanted something specific it shouldn't be an issue. It's her wedding day, very possibly the most important cake she'll ever order, of course she wants something specific, that would be why I made sure we had the appointment. I was very surprised to get this sad level of customer service from an Heb store. It was an absolute nightmare. The no show decorator Brenda and rude manager Kelley are obviously not concerned with customer satisfaction much less helping to make my niece's wedding day special. I would definitely recommend only using the bakery at the older location where the decorator we've worked with previously was very happy to schedule a time to discuss the specifics...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHonestly I do enjoy shopping at this location but tonight I am leaving disappointed my cashier was Brittney W. and she was great. I had quite a few items and it was a bit more for her to keep up with. My young child jumped in to help and didnāt quite understand the bagging process. I saw Connie and another associate pass by and look but no offer to assist her. I saw Paul walk towards us and actually start to walk off before I said something to him. You see Iād been shopping for quite a while and had seen him great multiple customers and offer to assist many as well.. yes I was all over that store and saw quite a bit. Needless to say I got his attention and asked him if he was going to assist my cashier... every other cashier I saw had bagging assistance. He was quite shocked and I feel that I had to pressure him into assisting. Judging by his dress wear I would conclude that he was part of management. I believe this looks extremely poorly on his job performance. I believe that ones in higher positions should not just step back and observe but work hand in hand. Maybe itās just me.. but I find it distasteful. I must say after this experience I much prefer the other location. Granted this H-E-B has more products to choose from and a plethora of fresh veggies always at the ready.. Iām sorry I see a lot more customer interaction and management to employee interactions during my shopping...
