Applebee's Grill + Bar | IHOP — Restaurant in San Antonio

Walked in to a mess and sat down to one too. The waitress got to the table about 7-10 minutes after seating. Wasn't familiar with the menu and what they sold. Food came out in average time but not the right temperature. As a former restaurant evaluator this visit would've been a very low rating. You had waitresses visibly arguing about tables yet not one refill was offered. The waiter Esmi didn't seem to care. The manager Lisa seems like she was constantly to the rescue for every station in that section. She took care of the table and offered her apologies for the service and food received. Maybe they are overwhelmed due to people having to walk out with no food. But one thing that is needed is training from the back of the house all the way to the front. Attitude adjustments and Learning the menu goes a long way. With these two restaurants combined the standards are set much higher. We hope to visit again in the future...

We were so excited to try the new Applebees/Ihop. We got the 2 for $25 my husband the burger and myself the chicken Parmesan fettuccine. The app we got Buffalo wings. The wings were delicious hot and fresh. When our food came out my pasta looks weird. It was all stuck together and mushy and cold, the chicken had no flavor at all. Honestly I couldn’t take more than 1 bite. My husbands burger was bland and flavorless as you can see he didn’t eat much of it. They did switch out my meal for chicken tenders but they too were bland and tasteless. I ended up not eating anything but the boneless wings. I used to love Applebees and am sad and disappointed about our experience especially spending over $55 and not getting to eat. Our waitress was very nice and the service wasn’t bad. I recently visited the new Applebee’s/IHOP and I couldn’t be more impressed. This is truly a very cool concept and experience, combining the best of breakfast, lunch, dinner, and everything for whatever you desire! I have two small kids and it was great to do pancakes for dinner while mixing up the great appetizers from Applebees, perfect experience for families wanting a bit of both worlds! A place where there is something for everyone!
