I decided to see what this Golden Wok is like for dim sum. There was no waiting at the bar. And I sat down. The dim sum here is made to order. The dim sum menu is smaller than the other Golden Wok. I also notice that only about 10 to 15% of the people came here for dim sum. The other Golden Wok had majority of the people going for dim sum on a weekend lunch hour. 1. Fung jou - It tasted ok, but the dish overran with sauce and had a sloppy presentation. 2. Spring roll - It came out hot and crispy. The stuffing tasted decent and got a good quantity. 3. Ha goul - The shrimp got good flavor and the texture of the ha goul was good. 4. Spare ribs - The spare ribs was seasoned and the overall quality was average. 5. Sin jok roll - The stuffing was ok, but the skin tasted weird. So much so that I could only finished one. I had to ejected the second roll after taking the first bite of it because of the weird taste. 6. Harm sui kwok - The first look of the plate made me wonder because two of the kwok were stuck together, as shown in the picture. In my life, I have not witnessed such sloppiness of presentation. I have to question what kind of mindset the chef was in when he/she put this monstrosity on the plate. On the third kwok, there was a burned mark on it. I just can't comprehend how I could experience two taboo on the same plate. 7. Lin yeoung bao - The lin yeoung could be a bit sweeter. While I was having dim sum, I saw a staff standing in the middle of the restaurant having yogurt nonchalantly. This restaurant needs some management to tidy things up.

I recently had lunch with a group of coworkers at Golden Wok, and unfortunately, the experience was disappointing, especially for one of my coworkers and me, as it was our first time visiting this restaurant. While the cuisine is Chinese, what stood out most wasn’t the food, but the concerning issue with food safety. We order lunch specials and dim sum. One of the dim sum orders was steamed shrimp and each dumpling contains a whole shrimp. Two of the four shrimp dumplings served to us contained raw shrimp (see picture). This was discovered as my coworkers cut into their dumpling, one noticed it was tough to cut through one and she found raw shrimp in hers then the other coworker cut into the another dumpling and it also contained a raw shrimp. We reported this issue to the manager, but instead of showing concern or urgency, she seemed indifferent and offered a credit for the dumplings in a manner that felt more annoyed than apologetic. It’s a serious concern when customer service is so poor, especially in a situation that involves potential food safety risks. Overall, the service was mediocre, and the customer service from the manager was terrible. Needless to say, we will not be returning to Golden Wok.

20220220: I sat just inside on the far left wall around 1130am. I'll keep it simple pros and cons. Pros: -Our server seemed nice -Half the dim Sum we ate was good. -server seemed attentive -The fish in black bean sauce was good. Cons: -the quality of water wasn't that good. -server couldn't pronounce any of the dim sum dishes. -ordered oolong tea, server brought us regular liptop iced tea. -The rice at this place was like cheap minute rice, had 2 bites didn't eat anymore. Myself and the 2 asian's I was with couldn't finish even half the small bowl of rice it was that bad. -half the dim sum was over steamed and falling apart. -people getting sat so close to each other, I felt like they were part of my my party we heard what they said and they heard us, 14 inches to my right was one couple and 6 inches to my left and over a small *protection divider another couple. -***OH and when we got our fortune cookies, all 4 cookies were broken and the bags were open. -Will probably never make the drive to eat here again. Hope the other Golden Wok is better, but don't know. 150$ for Dim Sum and this experience, fml.

Good food, large portions, & I am a repeat customer yet the customer service has been sub par compared to the old locale over the past few years.

The previous location was on point and the just "all around welcoming feeling" and individualized dining experience ceases to exist since they moved from across the highway.

My last visit on 3/26/2022 was slightly disappointing as I ordered ahead over $100 of food, & upon pick up, even though curb side is advertised, we still had to go in to obtain our order. It was a special occasion, my niece's birthday dinner, so by the time we got home, after eating and enjoying our favorite dishes, we realized our most cherished items were missing-the fortune cookies!

We've never had to "add" these to the order yet since we had anticipated them, we hadn't added any desserts so this was more disappointing than usual as it's our tradition to have these tasty treats at the end of our dinner, especially on my lil one's special day...

Additionally, having to go in & to stand in a crowded line to get our food in the quite claustrophobic sized pick up area was a bit uncomfortable and inconvenient. The cashier non-verbally reacted somewhat annoyed when I requested extra duck sauce...even though when she added it to our bags, it was with extreme ease of access as 5 small containers of sauce in a knotted, clear sandwich like bag was readily available directly under the register counter. She didn't even have to step away or go anywhere to get it thus the seemingly perterbed expression on her face and ambivalent non verbal annoyance was unwarranted and unnecessary, in my opinion.

That being said, not sure if their policy has changed and they simply don't have fortune cookies included as a courtesy, then I feel they should add them to the menu cuz' we've always received them and my family have been regulars for as far back as when I was in high school & my Grandfather used to take us there because he knew the owners and my Dad has continued to take us for several years.

Now, like literally 30+ years later, I long for the old traditionally kind, friendly and welcoming experience as I did as a teen because we...

Horrible Experience on Father’s Day- My family and I had a very disappointing experience at Golden Wok on 410 during our Father’s Day visit on 6/15/2025 around 3 PM. We were a party of nine—three adults and six children—and were only there for about an hour. Unfortunately, from the moment we arrived, we felt unwelcome. Our server, Joseph, seemed visibly displeased to be serving a group with children. Although a kind waitress was preparing a more suitable seating arrangement for us, Joseph insisted we be seated in a small back room typically used by staff during breaks. This felt like an intentional effort to isolate us due to the size and makeup of our group. Throughout the meal, Joseph appeared annoyed and disengaged. Despite the poor service and uncomfortable seating, I still intended to leave a 20% tip—$20.19—on a $141.73 bill. I initially wrote in a $5 tip on the receipt because I planned to leave the rest in cash after recording a special moment of my husband opening gifts from our children. Unfortunately, before I had the chance to leave the cash, Joseph returned, loudly and rudely commenting on the tip amount to another staff member right behind my chair. He interrupted our moment multiple times, even confronting me directly while I was recording. His tone was aggressive and unprofessional, and he ultimately threw the receipt down in front of me, which my husband witnessed. This behavior was completely unacceptable and ruined what should have been a joyful family celebration. I called the next day and spoke with a manager named Judy, who said she would speak with him, but that response felt insufficient given the severity of the situation. I would not recommend this location, especially for families with children or larger groups. If you do visit, I strongly advise avoiding this server as he will embarrass and harass you if you do not tip him what he wants immediately . No one should be made to feel embarrassed or rushed during a special occasion. I have the video and am going to edit it to just pull the audio with showing my family and will be posting it all over my social media accounts to make...

Arrived 3-30-2021 for lunch. Party of two, my wife and I. We waited for about 15 minutes for a table. COVID restrictions were partially observed. The customers and staff had masks on. However, I noticed the person cleaning the tables had none of the sanitary equipment to clean the tables with. I kept watching and during our stay there she cleaned only with what appeared to be a damp cloth. We usually get good service and food and are regulars for lunch at Golden Wok. Today was an exception. We ordered off the lunch menu. Got our food and our lunch was stone cold. I called the waiter/bartender over and explained that our food was cold. My wife’s plate came back first and she said it was very warm but not hot. Several minutes later my plate of Mongolian Beef came and it was also warm not not hot. There was a total of three small pieces of beef on my plate and the rest was onion and green bell pepper. The fried rice was, as usual, very tasty. My Mongolian beef was a bust! This is the FIRST time I’ve been served a bad meal at Golden Wok. We paid our bill, including tip and left. Off day maybe?? My qualifications as an Expert and Experienced Food and Service Critic; I have a BS in Management and have been trained in two Culinary Schools, to include on the job training at other venues.
