Part 2: Second visit to Bay Leaf. It was as good as the first time around. Flavorful and fresh food served with a smile. I ordered (for the second time), the Tom Kha. I can’t get enough of the delicate coconut flavors of this soup. I also ordered the Pad Thai. I was a very generous portion that was served piping hot. I’ll definitely have enough leftover for a nice dinner later. They also offer complimentary rice pudding at the conclusion of your meal. This is a nice little spot super close to the medical center off of Babcock Road. Had a most delicious lunch at Bay Leaf. We had the Tom Yum and Tom Kah soups. Both were delicious. The Tom Tum had its signature lemony flavor while the Tom Kah had its subtle coconut flavor that’s so yummy. We ordered the least amount of spice Level: 1 (based on past experiences) but feel we could have tolerated a level 2. We also shared an order of the Sizzler Gyoza: pan fried lamb dumplings served in sizzling cast iron skillet. They were delicious! And lastly we shared the Velvet lamb curry. It’s a tomato based curry. It was so flavorful. And to our delight-we were given a free rice pudding (amazing). This is a new restaurant that could use some patronage. Two thumbs up for both the food and the service. PS: excuse some of the photos. The food was SO good that I forgot to take the picture until we were nearly finished.

Bay Leafs is one of those hidden gems that makes you wonder how it isn’t packed to the wall every night. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere feels warm, welcoming, and just the right mix of classy and relaxed. The staff goes above and beyond genuinely friendly, quick, and they really seem to care about making sure you’re taken care of. Now the food is unreal. Every dish comes out fresh, perfectly seasoned, and beautifully plated. You can taste the love and precision in every bite. The flavors are bold but balanced from the savory entrées to the sauces that tie everything together. You can tell the chef knows their craft and takes serious pride in it. The portions are generous, prices are more than fair, and the quality rivals some of the top spots in the city. Whether you’re stopping in for lunch, a date night, or just craving something flavorful and made from scratch, Bay Leafs is easily one of the best spots in San Antonio. If you haven’t been yet, do yourself a favor and go. This place deserves way more attention it’s the kind of restaurant that reminds you what great food and great service really feel like.

I just randomly found this place. Stopped in real quick. I ordered the Massaman Curry with Chicken. It was perfectly creamy, with tender potatoes and carrots, and freshly cooked chicken. Very well crafted. It didn't taste like chicken from a previous day re-warmed like so many other places. I'm excited to try more from this place after that first experience. I also ordered a mango lemonade. It was extremely balanced. Wasn't too sweet or astringent. Excellent! The waitress was also very friendly and attentive. They produced the food quickly and I didnt wait too long for any aspect of the dining experience. I recommend trying this place. I will be back to try other things like the bulgogi and maybe the mango smoothie.

This restaurant, the family that owns it, and the entire staff are incredible!

I ordered food through DoorDash and called to confirm the order. The person who answered was so friendly and genuinely thankful, I really appreciated that!

The food was amazing! We ordered the soup gyoza, sizzler salmon, lamb pasanda, lamb dansak, chicken creamy curry, cheese curry cubes, and Everest noodles with tofu. We also received a complimentary rice pudding!

Everything was delicious. The preparation was high quality, the flavors were incredible, and the portions were generous, all at very fair prices. You can tell the food is made with love and pride; it truly feels like home cooking in the best possible way.

The flavors gave me a nostalgic feeling, reminding me of the incredible Indian, Thai, Nepalese, Chinese, and Mongolian food I’ve enjoyed in New York for years. This restaurant offers that same excellent quality, if not better. I’m so happy it’s here in San Antonio. Since moving here, I’ve been hoping to find great food, and I’m so grateful this family chose to open their wonderful restaurant here.

After trying everything, I had to call back to let them know how much we loved it. The same person I spoke with earlier was so happy to hear our feedback and kindly invited us to visit the restaurant and dine in, which we absolutely will! They also included a very kind handwritten note in the bag, thanking us for our order.

I truly hope this restaurant continues to serve San Antonio for a very, very long time. As long as they do, my family and I will keep...

First of all, we stopped by Bayleaf Stir & Curry House by happenstance. I was seriously craving for some hearty Asian/Thai food. We saw this place online and my husband & I chose to be a bit of adventurous today. Boy, this was the best idea ever! The atmosphere is super cozy, the service was very friendly. Most of all, the food was super delicious! The edamame with sauteed garlic was finger-licking good (so much so, that my husband tried some... And mind you, he is super picky about vegetables). My husband got the curry puffs, and man... I love the fact that it had a crunchy exterior with a fluffy and flavorful potato curry inside. The dipping sauce really enhanced the flavor profile of the curry puffs. I got the Mughlai Chicken Curry, which was So Velvety and Hearty! The chicken totally melts in your mouth and they provide a good serving of rice too! My husband got a stir fry dish that would entice any connoisseur of spicy food. It's great that this restaurant offers heat options (If you want mild flavor, medium, or spiciness) to your dish . To top it off, they rice pudding was delectable! It tasted like homemade ice cream, which is divine! I would recommend this place, and I would be definitely coming back...
