We ordered 2 combination chow mein dinners from the drive thru only to find the noodles tasted funky and smelled stale. We paid a good chunk of money for chow mein that was so old it was inedible. To make matters worse, when we pulled up to the window, we paid for our food. While we were waiting for our food, the Boba Tea menu caught our attention so I asked if we could have 3 Boba teas. The cashier took charged my card for 3 Boba teas then served us 3 milk teas with cherry slices. When I asked why our teas had no Boba, I was told by both him as well as a female worker simultaneously that they were out of Boba. Why would you charge someone’s card knowing you don’t have what was ordered in stock? And why would you make the decision to add cherry slices to 3 orders of Boba tea without even asking if that would be acceptable? Why was a refund never offered or at least a gift card for 3 Boba teas to use at a later date? I have been a loyal patron to Beijing Express since the 90’s when they first opened up however, after tonight, we will never return. You don’t serve old food as it’s a major health risk. You also don’t charge a person’s card for an order you’re sold out of then proceed to make a decision that’s not yours to make in regards to choosing to put cherry slices in our “boba” teas as if we would not notice. Once it was brought to your attention that it did not go unnoticed, a full refund or at the very least a gift card should’ve been offered to compensate for your inefficiency and unethical...
Read moreI am saddened that after many years of patronage, I am now forced to find a different oriental restaurant to spend my money at. Try Taste of Asia, 1 minute away on Bitters or Szechuan Garden which is 8 minutes away on NW Military. Beijing Restaurant, is run by an idiot. This weekend, I ordered a meal, to go & when I arrived home, the food was cold and the egg roll was soggy. I was very hungry, so I foolishly decided to eat the subpar food. I phoned the restaurant & explained to the young man my dissatisfaction with the food. His comment was that if I had brought it back to them, he would have replaced the plate or refunded my money, but because I had eaten it, there was nothing he would do. I identified myself as a longtime customer & asked if he was willing to lose my business over a $7 sale and his response was YES! I was very angry, drove back to the restaurant, presented him with the receipt and 3 additional receipts from that same week, and again asked if he was willing to lose my business. Again the response was YES. I refuse to spend my money, at a business run by an idiot. Apparently that particular Millennial doesn’t understand that us Baby Boomers have learned how to assert power by keeping our wallets in our back-pockets. I will admit, the customer is not always right, but a loyal customer should be considered like finding gold in your...
Read moreAfter getting home from picking up a order in the drive thru, the extra side of lemon sauce wasn’t closed correctly and spilt all over the bag of food. When I called to speak to the manager (bald guy with glasses) he argued and demanded to bring back the food because quote “a lot of people call and complain to get free food” while going back and forth with the girl who handed the food in the drive thru saying she closed the lid right it was my fault getting frustrated from working all day and now dealing with this I took him the food to show him I wasn’t lying, after they remade the food I asked to speak to him privately over the matter he’s response was “I’m right here” (while being on the opposite side of the counter in front of the other three employees and customers waiting for their orders) I proceeded to tell him I didn’t appreciate the way he handled the situation and he’s rude response was “there was nothing wrong with the food the sauce was just split on the side” sorry for not wanting to eat my dinner covered in lemon sauce especially when you paid for it... needless to say very disappointed not even a apology and I’ve been going there for years. That guy was very rude and unprofessional when me and my daughter were leaving he has the audacity to say sarcastically goodbye have a nice day. No need for that especially if you’re...
