Went during lunch rush. Everything should be fresh. Nope. Chicken strips were very hard. Gravy tasted like peach cobbler (maybe they don't wash dishes). Tea tasted like BBQ sauce. I called to complain and the first thing I'm told was that the chicken strips weren't hard because they just made them. Then the guy who answered played the 'you're phone's breaking up' card. When I called back he told me again that my chicken strips weren't hard because they just made them. I asked for a manager and he said my phone was breaking up again. I had to ask for a manager 3 times before the manager gets on the phone. The manager says he can only replace my meal if I come back with the food. I explain that I can't go back because I'm on a time limit. He asks me to save my food for when I get out of work so I can bring it back and then he can replace it. I inform the manager that I'm hungry and that I'm going to have to eat this terrible food. He then asks for my name and says I can come back for a full meal replacement. Bill Miller's, I'm sure you pay managers well above industry average, why would you settle for this management style? I called to give valuable insight and they called me a liar. They also demanded that I bring my food back if I wanted a replacement. I used to love Bill Miller. What happened to you? Did you get too big?

UPDATE I called corporate to report the issue and the rude lady who answered said she could take my number down and someone would call me back. NO, THANK YOU. That shows how much management at the store and corporate level cares. Adios...

We passed by a Bill Miller Bar-B-Q place driving into San Antonio and, seeing a second one, we figured that it had to be decent to have a chain out here. We were famished and ready for anything. So we stepped into Bill's for lunch.

I thought the menu was pretty straightforward. Wife went for the chicken tenders meal and I went for the crispy chicken sandwich meal as well as a bean and cheese taco. It did take a little over 5 minutes for them to make the sandwich but we had the taco and tenders to keep us company until then.

So, Bill's has been around since the 1950s and maybe it is just something they have always done but they serve their tenders and fries with country gravy. If you check the photo, you will see the bowl there. I have to say that dipping fries in it reminded me of mashed potatoes and gravy...because it was. The tenders were crispy and decent. The taco had an ample amount of cheese and was also good. I got the southwest ranch addition to the sandwich which was alright. It was crispy and looked great but I think it lost something by way of the sauce.

It was really interesting going to a place that has "Bar-B-Q" in the name and, yet, no BBQ sauce at the condiments station (which had salsa, pickles, packets of a hot sauce and a few other items) or in a bottle nearby. It might have helped the sandwich. If I judge my Mexican restaurants by their salsa, I also view a BBQ place by a sauce. As of now, I will remember this place for dipping my fries in gravy. Not a bad memory and not a...

I have always like Bill Millers any where we go and never have I ever experience a bad service but today is the first. I walked up to the counter and asked the lady to where do I order and she looked at me and said right over here which was the door dash line. I patiently waited for about 10 mins without saying a word. Another customer walked in and asked her the same question (where to order ) and she replied with, what are you having and totally ignored me which she did still see me standing there. After about 5 more mins I asked her again to where I would order and she asked for here or Togo to which I said Togo and then she said wait right there. Still waited until another fellow took my order. Which he was polite. I took my food to the Hotel to enjoy my meal and to my surprise the unsweetened Tea tasted horrible which I ended throwing it away. And just drank faucet water here at the hotel. I ordered the #7 and a brisket taco. The brisket from the taco was supper dry. The fryโ€™s that come with the order were very stale and Iโ€™m thinking that they mustโ€™ve been cook about an hour ago. The only good thing that was ok was the burgers. I travel a lot in Texas and I will never visit this establishment here in San Antonio and I will not recommend anybody to eat there. I would not want anybody getting sick. Bad management, bad food and...

Smh. ๐Ÿ˜ž๐Ÿ™„ $35 on two plates and a kids meal. This was mostly fat in the brisket. I wish I took more up close pics of all the meat. You see the green bean serving? Like really half a scoop? As soon as I got my order I took a picture cause I knew it was some bull. At the speaker one of the workers said "can I have five dollars?" and laughed after I ordered. Shits not funny. I knew then my order was going to be wrong. The Mac and Cheese was fine. Can't say that about the rice though. But yeah I was pissed about my brisket. Every single bite I took was full of fat. Barely any edible meat other than the little you do see in the picture. I don't even know why they decided to put the green beans with the meat. Look at the bottom of that tray, that's juice from the green beans not BBQ sauce which the meat was lacking. It should have been where the rice or mac was and not running everywhere. Food was overpriced, workers unprofessional, food was a flop. I'll just stick with the chop sandwiches from now on. And not at this location. ๐Ÿ‘Ž๐Ÿ‘€

Greetings y'all. The service here in store #28 is great. The restaurant was clean and neat. The atmosphere was warm and comfortable. The food was less so. Surprisingly the side dishes were good yet the main course Entree was less flavorful. I ordered spare ribs with the sides of spanish rice, green beans, and macaroni and cheese. Spare ribs were not as good as the sides. My friend ordered the chicken tenders and fries with a 1/2 pound of brisket. He stated his fried were good yet tge brisket and chicken tenders were dry. I'd still eat here again since the employees were kind, professional, and polite. The sides were good and I'd give the main entrees another try.
