I think this might be it. I think I'm actually done with Bill Miller BBQ this time.
For years Bill Miller BBQ #29 has been "my location", so to speak. It has been the closest location to me for almost 10 years, and in that time I have seen many managers come and go. out of all of them, The most recent management and staff has been among the worst, if not the worst. On almost every visit I am forced to have something remade or have to purchase something that was not added to the order initially. The inaccuracy, inefficiency and overall poor quality of the food and service has left me underwhelmed.
On many occasions, the food is poor quality in some way. Usually the items are overcooked and sometimes even burned. The most disappointing part of it all is when you return to the restaurant and are treated (by the manager) as if you are the one who has made the mistake. perhaps I should have ordered differently, or gone to another establishment altogether.
Recently, on a rare morning off, My family and I decided to enjoy Bill Miller breakfast. This busy morning we ordered via the drive thru and I ordered a brisket taco. To my disappointment, the brisket taco contained a few sad looking cuts of burnt brisket (pic attached). My son's pancake was also overcooked to the point of being rubberized.
Just this evening, we stopped in for dinner. We ordered a 1/4 Chicken De-lite, upon ordering we inquired about getting the chicken de-lite as a meal with a baked potato, the cashier indicated "yes". we asked if this meal came with a tea, "no" she replied. We thought it odd a meal did not come with a drink, but it is under "on the lighter side" part of the menu. our meal is brought out and the Chicken delite is curiously missing the "delite" part. There is a baked potato, but no salad. I inform the staff that the salad is missing and she informs us this is an "or" situation. chicken delite with a salad, OR chicken delite with a baked potato. OK, misunderstanding. We walked to the counter to make one of the many additional transactions I have mentioned. I asked the cashier what is the best way to do this. she says, they are separate purchases, so I am to buy the salad since I have the potato. I clarify, should we return the transaction to properly process the order by adding the potato. she says no, they are priced the same. The manager emerges from the office to find out what the issue is. The manager then remarked "She inputted the order as it was given.", I remained silent and agreed to pay for the addition as the manager said it should be processed. The cashier declared I owed close to five dollars. and I then questioned how much it would cost to add a potato to the chicken delite, to which she replied, $2.85. When I pushed back and did some basic math indicating that 5.70 (plus tax, of course) + 2.85 is much less than 5.70 (+ tax) + ~5.00. The teen aged cashier looked at me with a glare that can only be produced by teen aged facial muscles. The Manager once again arose from the office, I explained my position, she again remarked two additional times that "she inputted the order as it was given". after the second time I declared, "that is not how the order was given." The manager did not acknowledge my comment and then instructed the annoyed teen to charge me for the potato. This whole exchange took several minutes; It should have only taken seconds.
These sorts of occurrences take place all too often and every single time I am met with such resistance. In a customer service position, you are to provide service and solve problems. Customer service personnel should be looking out for their customers. In this case, that meant making sure I was being charged accordingly. I should not have to fight for this kind of consideration and service.
I, for the life of me, can not understand why Amanda Branson is...
Read moreI by know it was late...but if your open then your open! Stopped in the drive thru for longer than expected...order 2 number 1's (briskwt po boys) and a BBQ Chicken sandwich meal along with a link of sausage.....where did begin:
One of my orders of fries were just sitting on the edge of a counter (NO warmer, NO covering) just out in the cold where everyone was walking by. After watching this for 5 min. I tapped on the glass and told them not to serve me those fries.one of the workers showed attitude about it. They listened but not in the way i expected more on that in a sec.
As we were waiting on our food I noticed a girl scratching her head multiple times while handling food and bagging items.....this was the same girl that got an attitude about the fries.
The manager brought the food to to window and apologized about the wait. I mentioned the girls attitude and head scratching....she wasn't happy and said she would deal with it.
I get home....and I guess Joe was right "The F@#$ you in the drive thru" We were missing one of our #1's the whole meal! And an order of fries (see they did what I said....I was expecting fresh fries but u guess at this restaurant you have to spell it out for them.) And the sausage link....aauuggh....close to 4 dollars for a glorified hot dog. I thought $4....it must be a full link/ring of sausage....NOPE!
wife called the manage and she said she would replace the "missing" meal but that doesn't fix the problem that I got home and had to fix something to eat because of there rush to try and close.

Read moreBummer AGAIN. Usually I'm singing their praises, but tonight they left off my bbq sauce yet again. Even after I had specifically requested to be sure that they don't forget it bc they have been forgetting 50% of the time with me and I go often. Do Not like hvg to double check my order when I'm tired and should be able to assume that it is included. So checked my receipt and the sauce was printed on it. So WHY do you leave it off the order....WHY. I have mentioned this issue to people taking the order at the cash register for To Go food inside every time it happens. To make matters worse my BBQ chicken breast was extremely dry this time. Normally it's moist and tender. Don't know what happened there????? Another time ordered bbq breast then got home and had leg thigh. NOT what I felt like eating so went back. This has happened b4 and I just ate it, but not this night....we know what we want to eat....that's why we order WHAT WE WANT!!!!!!!!!!! I'm not planning on stopping my patronage to Bill Miller's....however if this one dsn't start getting it correct then I may have to go miles out of my way to a different location in which I may just decide on a different BBQ Restaurant altogether. Obviously, I'm tired of the same...
