Finally met Alex, the owner, although we have seen him around a few times. This is my most frequented Boba place. I cannot necessarily say because it is my favorite but because I do not usually go out of my way to find one. I go here because I am a bibliophile and the next door Nine Lives Bookstore is a regular afternoon for me. I understand that process are high these days in general, but I still have to say I wish they would do more specials or something because I find $5 drinks pretty high (when you want something even a little more than the basics). The art than adorns the walls is always nice to see. Bulbasaur has been here since day one for me, so I was tempted to buy it (some art is for sale), but Alex informed me it was not for sale, since it was a gift. That saddens me but also makes me glad that a familiar face will always be here. Maybe wish there were more games here or live music acts? The drinks are good, customer service is great, but prices are not stellar and I do not feel like there is much reason to stay around. This, I usually take my drink with me to the bookstore next door- which is encouraged, as...
Read moreMy experience at Bobalicious has been one of certain enlightenment. Never have I truly tried a liquid beverage that has tantalized my taste buds like the boba has at this location. The combination of milk, tapioca, sugar, and love has created a concoction of pure bliss. However, nothing can ever be perfect. While the drinks are perfection incarnate, the atmosphere is as close to the holy Vatican in San Antonio, and the prices are so well designed that other restaurants envy Bobalicious ability to provide such cheap prices there is one thing wrong with this place; their anime taste. Bobalicious has absolute garbage taste in anime that I have ever been cursed to audibly and visibly experience in my life. Every time I walk into the holy land of Bobalicious I have to endure the absolute hell of SAO or Little Witch Academia, but I digress. Bobalicious is a God send, and I ask that anyone who visits to prepare themselves. Bobalicious is a 10/10. Thank you based god for...
Read moreI tried this place since it was next to this cool new comic book store. There was a lot of people there. The guy told me it would be about a 15/20 min wait. No problem, I could see they were busy. I went back to the comic book store, also to the goodwill next door and came back 20 mins later. My drink still wasn’t done. I waited another 15/20 mins. I got the Thai tea. It was just okay. I really enjoyed the freshness of the boba they do make it there but the tea itself just wasn’t very flavorful or I felt like it was missing something. I’ve definitely had much better at other places and sadly won’t be back but maybe their other drinks are better. I saw a lot of people trying the slushy ones but I only like Thai tea and I do set high standards for them. I only spent $6 so the price was okay abt $5 and than tipping is requested. If your in a hurry don’t come here there are other places that are much faster and taste better for...
