CAVA — Restaurant in San Antonio

After recommendation from a colleague and tried their food, decided to drop by for another delicious bowl. It is located in the Stone Ridge plaza with plenty of outdoor parking that’s shared with all other shops.

Ordered the Steak and Harissa bowl. Minus a few of the rice grains being too hard, the rest of the bowl was healthy and tasty. Avocado was fresh and well prepared. The fresh vegetables and salad mixed good with the well done steak slices. Can’t get better with these types of healthy food!

The environment is quite lively and the seating arrangements are open. Great for hanging out with a few friends but definitely not for private conversations.

I’d especially like to recommend Charis, who was extremely accommodating, friendly and understanding. She immediately remade my bowl after knowing I did not eat spicy and a spicy sauce was already added to the bowl. What an amazing attitude!

Because of the healthy options, great taste and wonderful staff, will definitely come back to try more. Keep up the good work Charis and Cava...

I usually come to this place like once a week. The food is good and is flavorful. The reason for a four star is the service is hit or miss. I've waited up to 15 or 20 minutes in line on busy days but today for example I came in and no one was out front. Everyone except for one guy were in the back. After waiting for about 6 minutes three people come out from behind and kind of just leisurely stroll over to get my order. That's kind of annoying. Not a "hey sir, we'll be right with you." Whatever, I'll deal with it to get my bowl. I go to order my bowl however and get a skimpy portion of protein. They don't let you order just one more scoop of protein which is really annoying. Love Cava but this location is the worst. The place is always dirty. The tables are always dirty and the food line. Food is all over the place and I've witnessed the employees just throwing food from the counter back into the trays with their hands. The servers will use the same gloves to check you out at the register and then go back to serving food and touching the pita chips. Nasty! Ive had to ask them to change their gloves. They're always backed up and no one knows what they're doing and when they do have downtime I watched the employees stand around talking when they should be cleaning tables, refilling the drink machine and cleaning down the food line.
