A Chili's Odyssey: Where Time Stands Still and the Lights Are Blinding Ah, Chili's. The name conjures images of sizzling fajitas, frosty margaritas, and... an excruciatingly long wait in a brightly lit purgatory. My recent visit to this fine establishment was an experience that can only be described as a comedy of errors, a symphony of slow service, and a blinding display of luminosity. Upon entering, we were greeted by the warm glow of a thousand suns. I'm not exaggerating; the lighting at Chili's could rival the surface of the sun. It was as if they were trying to illuminate the deepest recesses of our souls, or perhaps just make sure we could clearly see every crumb on the sticky table. After being blinded by the sheer intensity of the lighting, we were then subjected to a 15-minute waiting game before our server finally graced us with her presence. I'm not sure if she was lost in the kitchen, or perhaps just trying to avoid eye contact with the hungry patrons, but it felt like an eternity. Finally, she arrived, and we eagerly awaited the opportunity to order our long-awaited feast. But alas, it was not to be. Another 15 minutes crawled by, and our server remained elusive. We tried waving, we tried making eye contact, we even considered sending up a smoke signal, but to no avail. It was as if we were invisible, ghosts wandering the brightly lit halls of Chili's. Defeated and famished, we decided to cut our losses and walk out. As we stumbled out into the blessed darkness, we couldn't help but wonder if we had somehow entered a time warp, or perhaps just a particularly slow-moving parallel universe. So, if you're looking for a dining experience that will test your patience and leave you with a permanent squint, Chili's is the place for you. But if you value your time and your eyesight, you might want to consider dining elsewhere.

Overall, the service started out great, and than went downhill pretty quickly. The girl I had as a waitress must've had other duties as assigned because I saw her working the area I was seated. I used my Chili's Rewards and I cashed in on a free dessert. Most other Chili's, if you have the app will generally just give you a free bowl of chips because it doesn't cost them anything, and I was by myself. No free bowl of chips here. I then ordered the (3) for $10.99. It has a drink, an appetizer, and an entree. I had a tea, a bowl of chili ($1 upcharge), and the cajun chicken pasta. The portion on the main entree was more than generous and so was the portion for the bowl of chili. (They forgot to bring out the cheese and chips for it but that was a quick fix.) Overall, I had to chase em down for the one refill I got and that was it. They looked like they had a few staff members working. So I figured I would've had a refill readily available. I might come back as long as they weren't busy. And when I got here today they weren't that busy and they sat me close to the bar. I figured since that area was empty, I'd have a better chance at better service. 3 out of 5 stars.

We went to this Chili’s on sunday afternoon. Our server(I didnt get his name) was very kind and attentive whole time but the reason why I gave only 2stars is food tasted really bad. I and my bf arent picky ppl at all and especially when we are hungry, we can eat whatever that given. We ordered chips&queso for appitizer and 3 samplers (sliders, cheddar bites, onion fries), half order or ribs, jamaica salad w/ shrimps for meals. I dont know what kind of queso it was but it just looked/tasted watery, unknown liquidy brown queso-ish dip. We didnt even finish half of it. Jamaica salad tasted ok but looked soggy, not really fresh. Half rack of ribs came out good though. But 3samplers, it was soooooo salty all over items on the plate and batter on cheese bites and onion fries was so thick and overcooked to dark brown. so we let our server know that the food was not satisfactory. Then our sever and a manager took off 3samplers from our check since we barely touched that plate. I appreciated for their adjustment and customer service but I guess they need to work on quality of dishes.

I never make a review or complain but even my fiancé said that this was easily the 1st worst experience he’s ever had in any restaurant. Arrive 7:20 there’s a 15 minute wait for a table okay understandable with everything that’s going on and limitation so we wait the 15 minutes. We get seated and a few moments later asked for our drink order I ordered an alcoholic beverage my fiancé asked for a tea. The waitress ask to see both of our I.ds ??? She explains how she’s not to sure if she has to see both. note I’m 21 my fiancé is 20 but I’m the one ordering the alcoholic beverage. She then says how she has to go ask and see. So we’re like okay whatever no big deal we just wanna put the drink order in. So we wait for what feels like a good while long enough for us to know what we want to order as an appetizer and our entrees and extra sides. She then comes for back with a water and sweet tea and explain how she didn’t need to see my fiancé’s i.d and that she’ll be back with my drink. I mean come on I could have told her that but of course i didn’t wanna be rude and I don’t know if there’s some sort of weird policy that chili’s has that I didn’t know a about. Anyways so we’re waiting for what seems like an awful long time for our order and we of course were expecting our appetizer any time soon. We happened to over hear 2 tables behind complain about how there food came out cold and staggered and we were hoping that wouldn’t be the case with our order... sadly it was. It took so long for our order I was honestly getting impatient we had finished our drinks she offered me another margarita I said sure why not. Our waitress had told us “oh I see your order just come up I’ll be right back” so you’d expect great that means we’re gonna get it right away...nope. She comes back even later and says “oh the fries were cold so I had to send them back to get remade”. The thing is it had been such a long time so I don’t blame the kitchen I feel like she wasn’t paying attention enough so it made us have to wait even longer for our food. It was 8:30 at this point our entrees come out I ordered the grilled chicken Caesar salad added slices of avocado with a side of loaded mashed potatoes. My fiancé ordered a grilled chicken avocado sandwich with fries and a side of street corn added on. We only received my salad that was missing the avocado and I was missing my mashed potatoes still didn’t get the appetizer and my fiancé only received his sandwich and was still missing the fries and street corn and guess what no appetizer yet. More time passes and we get the cheese fries and my mash but where’s my fiancé’s fries and corn and my avocado. She goes back even more time passes my fiancé is almost done with his sandwich and I get my avocado and his fries but where’s the corn. At this point I’m extremely annoyed with all this waiting for my complete orders. My fiancé finishes his sandwiches and we finish the cheese fries and I’m through with my mash potatoes. She comes back and says that the corn was sent to the wrong table so she has to go get us another one. At this point my fiancé tells her to forget it just take it off the bill. I of course spoke to the manager because I really felt like it was just not up to par at all tonight. We even looked around and it wasn’t even busy at this point the hostess was seating people right away. We normally receive such great service but today it was just not there we almost wanted to warn the guest who were seated in her section because I’m sorry I don’t feel like anyone else should have to experience what we had that night. This will probably keep us away from here for a...

To start off we spent almost three hours here. A majority of the staff were very friendly, but there was clearly a staffing issue. We sat in a booth by the bar. Initially no one waited on us until maybe 15 minutes after we sat down. We did see a server who was a girl and she waited on the booth next to us, but not us. A server later came and apologized and then waited on us. He was also the bartender and was alternating with the girl server who ignored us. He gave us drinks and kept checking up on us, but as the bar got busy it was difficult for us to get service. He did take our order, but we waited over an hour to get our food. We also witnessed an employee get fired while waiting. We also watched multiple tables be seated, served, and paid while waiting. When our food did come out; it was wrong. One of us is gluten intolerant and asked for no bun, but it came out with a bun. The person who brought out our food was a different person. And when he brought it out he passively apologized and said “oh ok I did see that,” on our ticket, but still brought us the wrong item. Then our server brought us the right, but wrong item, because they no longer carried lettuce wraps. Then we added a 3.99 molten lava cake to the “3 for me” and we asked a different server about it because we had no access to a server since the bar was super busy. She looked like management or a lead and she looked annoyed with us, cut us off while talking, and said “ok I’ll check on that for you,” and then charged us 6.99 even though it was part of the meal deal for 3.99. She also never came back to tell us that she added it to our bill or even told the kitchen about it. We eventually called our server over from the bar and he brought it out. But, then there was an issue with the bill being split wrong and the molten lava cake price. The same lead or management handled this, but again cut our friend off while she was trying to explain it to her and I had to reaffirm that it was the wrong price and wrong items on the check. She then left and fixed it. But, when she initially tried explaining our bills to us; it felt like she was talking down to us because we were trying to explain why it was wrong and she kept trying to explain the original bill. I know it was busy and a lot going on at this point. But, it was relatively slow when we initially got there. It was a very frustrating experience especially since service for everyone else was relatively speedy. Even while we were leaving, the server girl who initially ignored us was still waiting on tables around us. I’m grateful to the bartender who also acted as our server because the bar was very busy and he did wait on us. But, I also feel like things weren’t handled well with the issues we did have. We aren’t very confrontational people, but we shouldn’t have to be for decent service. Very sad; loved Chili’s; will be avoiding...

We went to the chili's in the quarry because we thought it was a better location there were 10 of us in our party. We were told that they were not seating on one half of the restaurant because they did not have enough servers, so we waited to be seated at one ofbbthe larger tables. Out waiter wad a young gentleman with reddish pink hair. We ordered our drinks they all came out with one being wrong a sprite was brought out instead of a tea the waiter said he would go and get the correct drink we waited and waited by the way the tea was for a child we had two in our party. We had to remind two times about the tea before it was brought out. Than we ordered our appetizers they came our correct being it was 3 chips and salsa and bone side ofguacamole which by the way was filled with onions and tasted of nothing but onion. They came the time to order our main food 3 of the burgers meals well done they came out red in the middle the manager told us that is how they cook their bacon burgers even though we specially asked for well done andv repeated it 2 times well done one well done with crispy bacon. Well our meals came out and they missed one of the meals in our party. One person order the sirloin steak with mashed potatoes and broccoli the whole plate of food was cold and had to be sent back one of ourbgest did not receive any food at all and one of our guest only ordered the skillet cookie with ice cream on top well the cookie was cold it is suppose to be warm and melt the ice cream the cookie was so cold it would break into little pieces when trying to eat it so it could not be eating by the time we left the ice cream was still on top hardly melted at all finally the last burger comes out that had been missing from our meal the one that was well done with crispy bacon well it came our rare in the middle and could not be eaten. The salad with the shrimp that was ordered come out as a salad with chicken and had to be sent back our whole overall experience was bad we choose to come out today the day after mothers day to celebrate mothers day at what we thought was one of the better chili's restaurants and had the worst experience ever and our server was the worst never asking to refill our drinks untill we were ready to go this also was the same for the manager he did not express concern until we were ready to leave. We go to chili's on military about once a week and have never had an experience like this. More training is needed with both the manager and the wait staff. By the way we still left a decent tip not what we were suppose to leave but half of it for the crummy service by all at...
