We came here before our annual pilgrammage to Central Market for the green chile festival. My sister picked this place based solely on the menu. We arrived around 11 am, and there was no one at the host stand. We waited as wait staff walked right by us multiple times and didn't even glance our way. My sister had to go over to the bartender and ask him to please send a host over. It took another 3-4 minutes. Keep in mind that the restaurant had about 2 or 3 tables occupied. We had already decided what we wanted by the time someone came to our table, but the waitress only wanted our drink order. Okay, 2 teas and a glass of wine. Another long wait. We got our teas, but the wine wasn't coming. We could see the glass of wine on the bar, and I was tempted to go grab it. We finally had to ask someone who was in ear shot, and he brought it to us. We ordered lobster bisque and corn soup to start. All the soups were lukewarm/room temp, and the lobster bisque had no actual pieces of lobster. It was just a plain creamy soup. The corn soup came with a piece of plain toasted pita bread, and that was pretty tasty. Our empty bowls were taken, and then we didn't see our server for almost 10 minutes. Because we could see into the kitchen, there was no waitstaff in there, and the chefs were kind of just standing around. 19 minutes after we ordered (and our waitress mever came back), someone started bringing out our lunch. My sister got her Chilean sea bass, I got my chicken Caesar salad, but my other sister's lunch wasn't with the other plates. We wrongly assumed that it would be right out. We sat there looking at each other for almost another 11 minutes with no one close enough to call over before my sister got her filet, which was supposed to be medium +10. It was not. It had a cold, red center. The person didn't wait for my sister to check her steak and disappeared like everyone else who worked there. It was practically raw in the middle. My sister got up, went over to the bar, and asked the bartender to send the manager over. Long story short, we waited and waited, and my sister's steak was delivered after the other 2 of us were finished. The manager comped my sister's filet and gave us an order of those tiny shot glasses of cake. What we were able to eat of the food was pretty decent. Our bill was still almost $200 (there were 2 glasses of wine on it), and we left hungry. We will not be back.

Seasons 52: A Decent Bite, but Missing the Spark

Seasons 52 offered a pleasant enough dining experience, but unfortunately, the food didn't quite reach the "great" territory. Let's break it down:

Hits:

Solid starters: The meatballs were juicy and flavorful, the hummus provided a creamy dip with good texture, and the artichoke was a fun, shareable choice.

Fresh ingredients: Everything tasted like it was made with quality ingredients, and the dishes felt relatively healthy.

Misses:

Lack of wow factor: While enjoyable, none of the dishes truly surprised or delighted the palate. They were good, but lacked that extra punch to elevate them to memorable.

Crab cake inconsistency: Reviews online seem to highlight the crab cake as a star, but ours fell a bit short. It felt slightly dense and didn't showcase the crab flavor as much as we'd hoped.

Overall:

Seasons 52 is a reliable option for a decent meal in a stylish setting. It's perfect for a casual get-together or a light bite, but if you're seeking a truly exceptional dining experience, you might want to explo appetizers themselves were a bit of a mixed bag.

Hits and Misses:

Meatballs: These were the undisputed stars of the show. Tender, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned, they were a delightful way to kick off the meal.

Hummus: The hummus itself was smooth and creamy, but the accompanying pita bread was a bit dry and lacked the necessary crunch.

Artichoke: This dish was a disappointment. The artichoke wasn't fully cooked, leaving it tough and fibrous. The accompanying dipping sauce was tasty, but couldn't salvage the overall experience.

Crab cake: This was another miss. The crab seemed more filler than meat, and the overall flavor was bland.

Overall:

Seasons 52 left me with a feeling of "meh." While the ambiance and service were commendable, the inconsistency of the appetizers left me wanting more. The meatballs were truly exceptional, but the other dishes fell short of the mark.

Recommendations:

If you're looking for a chic and upscale dining experience, Seasons 52 delivers. However, if your focus is purely on the food, you might be better off exploring other options.

Tips:

Stick to the meatballs and other well-reviewed dishes.

Consider sharing appetizers to try a wider variety.

Don't hesitate to ask your server for recommendations.

Final Verdict:

Seasons 52 is a restaurant with potential, but it needs to work on its consistency to truly impress.

I hope this review helps you decide whether Seasons 52 is the right place for your next...

I have rarely had a dining experience where the service has exceeded the food, but Ciara's service at Seasons 52 was truly exceptional. She was kind, charming, personable, witty, and attentive, and her cheery disposition went over and beyond our expectations.

Ciara was a true Renaissance "man" of customer service. She went out of her way to make our dining experience as enjoyable as possible. She was also incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, and she was able to make recommendations that perfectly suited our tastes.

I went when Seasons 52 first opened and I was blown away by the food and the quality. I decided to bring my girlfriend to do some catching up and to bring her since she's never been. The ambience is perfect for a date or if you want to catch up with an acquaintance or friend.

When we are seated down we are immediately greeted by our waitress Ciara. It took us a long time to decide what to order but Ciara stayed attentive to make sure she didn't have us waiting on her. We ordered the street corn skillet, lump crab cake, wood grilled dry rub pork chop and caramelized grilled sea scallops.

The crab cake and corn skillet was up to par. I recommended the pork chop to my friend because I had it before. When the pork chop came to the table it looked overly cooked and very charred and the cabbage appeared to be overly cooked as well with a mushy texture...completely different from when I originally ordered it. My girlfriend cut into the pork chop but she just wasn't feeling it so she decided to try the grilled sea scallops.

Upon sending the food back the bar manager, Reuben, came over and apologized. It's very rare that I ever have an experience where food is sent back but the very few times that I have, I have gotten  a very dismissive and mean spirit from the manager as well as the waitress, but time was different. Now mind you, it's a busy night but Reuben took the time to come over and to apologize and he was kind about it!

The scallops came up very quickly. The presentation was nice but the texture was not giving fresh so we decided that the appetizers we had were enough and sent that dish back as well. This entire time, Ciara exuded so much positivity it made our experience five-star and for the bar manager to be just as kind allowed the rest of our evening to be enjoyable.

So, if you ever go to Seasons 52 in the Quarry be sure to ask for Ciara because even if the food is meh, your service will be excellent and she will have you leaving...
