I ordered a drafting desk online for pickup in the store. The girl who brought it out was 5' tall and 100lbs soaking wet - with a box twice her size and half her body weight - scraping and sliiiding the box across the floor, no cart or dolly. When I suggest that she needed a cart (or something with wheels) she blew me off, stating that "it's ok she did it all the time". Honestly, my concern wasn't for her, as she wasn't really doing anything strenuous, but more for the $200 desk I'd just paid for, last in stock, and didn't want damaged. Halfway to the front of the store I finally insisted that I help her carry it to my car - and I have a back condition - because she obviosly wasn't smart enough to go get help, or a basket or cart, or even LISTEN to the suggestion when it was made. Who knows WHAT she was planning to do once she got the box out to the parking lot? Draaag the 60lb cardboard box across the asphalt and hope it stayed together? Note to self: Better training would likely result in fewer customers having to do the work that employees are paid to do.
Also, the lines at this location are always ridiculously long due to, usually, lack of...
Read moreLove love love everything about this place.. except the staff usually. It's so funny that they pass me by a million times, almost making me feel like they are suspicious of me or something, yet they never ask if I need any help. The checkout is another issue for me. For some reason.. maybe because of it obviously being closer to the exit but like as soon as I get in line it's like the temperature rises like 10 degrees. And the best part is the super slow pace in which the staff gets ppl checked out. So yeah.. enjoyable shopping experience or not, its almost guaranteed to get worse at checkout. Nevertheless I love crafting and appreciate everything that the store has to offer. They always have at least one coupon I can use on a single item or off my whole purchase. If not they routinely go thru different levels of sales in all departments. I suggest always getting online well before your visit to get an idea of when a sale might...
Read moreThis Michaels is located in the Quarry Market to the right of Whole Foods. You can find just about everything here for arts and crafts projects. The store is not laid out well, however. For example, you will find painting canvases in different sections of the store. I would expect that all the art items would be together but that is not the case. They do not have materials for making custom button pins, just FYI. The ladies bathroom needed attention the day we visited 7-9-2021. I was going to post the bathroom photos but decided not to gross anyone out. Look for clearance items all over the store. There is not a single clearance section. Price scanners come in handy in the floral arrangement aisle because many of the flowers did not have a price. The sales associate that helped me was nice and very knowledgeable. It's easy to forget what you went on there for. There's something for everyone especially when shopping with...
