I really wanted to like this place more but I will never go back to this location and it is entirely on service and the combative way I was treated by the server. Let me paint the picture. On Wednesday March 13 my family and I went to the San Antonio zoo and boy was it busy due to the fact it was Spring Break. My nephew is a huge fan of sushi and he recommended this place.

I want to say it is a cute little spot in the Quarry area. We were sat right away it wasn't too busy but we went at an odd lunch hour it was about 2 pm. We had our server come over. Her name is MORGAN. I put this in caps so you the reader will not forget this name. She seemed nice enough quiet and standoffish even when my 7 yr. old daughter complimented her purple toadstool necklace. We went ahead and ordered plenty of appies 3 orders of Goyza dumplings, some Karage (fried chicken), spicy edamame, and some bang bang shrimp. I know that sounds alot for 4 people but we are huge fans of leftovers, lol. So then 15 min go by and our server MORGAN has not come back to take our order. I even asked a separate server to see if she could get her to come take our order. Not only had it been now 25 min but they also had some lunch selections that stated until 3pm only so I wanted to get my order in. Our server MORGAN saw we were waiting but she continued to just ignore our table. Oh I will say in the interim of the 35 min it took her to return to take our order we did receive our appetizers and they were all delicious. The Goyzas a bit more fried than we like but they weren't burned so still edible. The rest were extremely flavorful.

Server MORGAN finally comes over to take our order so we order 2 sushi bento boxes, a Latino roll sushi, and a Kimchi Ramen. My wife asked since now it is 3:10 that since the bento boxes were in the lunch menu if it was still ok to order. I told the server if there was an issue we had attempted to do it before 3pm but couldn't get her attention. So I handed the menus to the server and had turned to speak to my wife and the kids. MORGAN instead of going over to enter our order she deserves to bend down and advise me " I don't know if you can see around or how many servers we have but we are busy whether you see it or not !!!" I was taken aback and I advise her that I have been a server. I loved being a server and I was a server for 15 years and I advised her you do not speak to customers that way and in the nicest tone I could muster advised her to please get her manager. She continued to say words to me about how busy she was. I advised her if it was that busy for her she may want to speak to her manager after I do.

A different server came to speak to us and advised me that the manager was new and didn't speak English well so she was sent over by MORGAN. I asked if the manager spoke Spanish and the second server advised he did. I advised her I was fluent and to please ask him to come over. The name of the manager was MOISES. I explained what happened and occurred and he great and vehemently apologized, and advised that he would speak to her.

Another 10 minutes pass by and MOISES had to come and ask what our order was because MORGAN advised she didn't write the order down and couldn't remember what it was. My wife by this point was not hungry so we just went ahead and advised we needed one bento box and the Latino roll. Once again MOISES had to apologize for MORGAN's extremely unprofessional behavior. I kept seeing Moises speaking to MORGAN to bring our food and then to bring our check and both times I could see her refuse. So when Moises brought our check over I advised him that she didn't have to go ahead and refuse to even come to our table. I tipped Moises 25% and in cash and I advised him it should be for him since even when we needed refills the other servers now refused to come to our table at all and Moises had to serve us.

I will say the Latino roll was really good and the appetizers were great even with the...

I'm gonna just put this out here. We went to celebrate my daughters girlfriends birthday. Great place great appetizers. We ordered I asked about certain items and ordered them after waitress explained what was in it. Every ody git there food I ordered appetizer so that came out and it was delicious. Everyone got their food but me. After about 25 minutes I asked about my rolls I had ordered. The waitress had forgotten to place my order. I really don't like sending food back or dealing with anyone without my food in front of me. We asked for a manager and we literally saw her tell the two managers Moises an didn't get the others name. They chose to ignore our request they walked by our table and everytime we thought they were gonna stop hey just kept walking. We asked fr them again we made eye contact and once again they made themselves both scarce. I understand accidents happen and I can work with that but when the waitress stated she had forgotten to put my order in and they were working on it. I look towards the kitchen and they are laughing with the cooks. I take that as a bad sign. We finally stopped the manager and explained our situation advised him what had happened and he didn't have anything to say no apologies or any remorse. I jokingly stated I didn't trust cooks because they could do something to somebody's food who complains and he said I know, at that point I canceled my order and told him we would pay for everything else. He still was a non - caring manager who made it seem like we didn't matter anyway. The waitress came and apologized over and over but we still think that the manager showed no interest in our situation. We may not matter in his eyes but we blow 200.00 easy at sushi places and I think if he doesn't care that's a bad image for this location and it will be a while before we visit again. Hope the owner knows what kind of image his managing staff reflects on...

Had super high hopes for this place, but it was a very mid-level experience. The restaurant is nice, with an outdoor patio and fun murals. There isn’t very much parking available though so be aware. The service was so-so. We sat down about ten minutes before the happy hour deal ended so we told them we weren’t ready and needed just a quick second to look over the menu because we wanted to make sure we ordered before happy hour ended. Our server was very polite and said that was no problem, but didn’t come back for a while and I had to go ask a host to find her to place our order. We continued to have to wait for her for long periods to bring the bill, check on us, etc. she was very nice and brought us things we asked for, but it didn’t seem that busy and there were many servers just standing around by the kitchen on their phones and talking so it was kind of odd. It took almost thirty minutes to get our food.

When we did get the food, it wasn’t amazing. The “ceviche” was not the fusion ceviche I was expecting. There was no lime, no chopped ripe mango, no real sense of ceviche at all. It was literally just folded up sashimi. The rolls were subpar, with incredibly mushy and densely packed rice. For some reason everything had this weird red sauce on it that was gross and gave “jar of cocktail sauce” vibes. My husbands roll had fat clumps of red pepper that wasn’t well spread out, which made it uncomfortably spicy (he’s a big fan of spicy but he said this was just bad). We weren’t fans.

It was really a let down. The menu isn’t very diverse, and the dishes themselves seem rather boring and not very flavorful. I will say it was affordable going during their happy hour, which is 3-6 and gives you half off small plates and drinks. Maybe we came on an off day,...
