Church's Texas Chicken — Restaurant in San Antonio

I went to churches chicken tonight and got a #2 with an extra chicken, 3 thighs 1 leg with a large mash potatoe 2 biscuits and an extra gravy. I got my food came home and when I got home began eating I was one chicken down when i just couldn’t do it the chicken was dry, tasted like it was burnt and has been sitting a while. I took a piece off and let me husband and father in law try to make sure I wasn’t wrong and they tasted the same thing. I called churches and complained told them I hadnt even eaten have the food and the manager agreed to make me fresh food. I went back up to churches with all of my food and gave it to the man in the drive they, he was very rude from the start. He open all my food to check it out and told me “well you’ve eaten some of the food already” and I explain to him that I went home to eat as planned when I just couldn’t finish it because it was nasty and dry and burnt” before I could finish talking he started yelling for his manager and the manager came to the window and said “yes?” I told her “nothing” and she looked at the food and said “oh I thought you said you hadn’t ate any of the food” I told her “no I said I hadn’t eaten even half of it” and once again explain the situation. She told me very rudely to pull around to the front the chicken had 3 more minute. My husband and I pulled around and waited, a man came around to our car who wasn’t even dressed in a churches chicken uniform just in some jeans and a black shirt, he gave us a big box. We open the box and there was only 4 pieces of chicken in there no mash potatoes no busicts nothing. I expected all my food to be replaced because I had given them all my food back but all they gave me was chicken. I tried to go back inside but could not because the doors were locked (it was 9:20pm) we pulled around to the drive-through and when we got there he honked the horn several times the drive-through man kind a looked up a little bit but look back down to what he was cleaning and didn’t come to the thing until we had to Honk the horn again several times and he finally came over along with his manager and the manager before I could even talk kind of just said very rudely here and shove the bag out of the window which had the mashed taters gravy and biscuits she then proceeded before I can eve honk the horn again several times and he finally came over along with his manager and then manager before I could even talk kind of just said very rudely here and shove the bag out of the window which had the mashed potatoes, gravy and biscuits she then proceeded To kind of shove a receipt and pen out of the window to our car and told me “I need a name and number on the receipt” I put my name and number on the receipt gave it back to her, husband told her to have a nice night and she replied the same. We never got our receipt back and they never apologized for the inconvenience. I go to this location often For dinners and lunches and never have had a bad expirence but today was a horrible one. I wish that I could give the Perrin Beitel location 0 stars. I placed my order in the drive through and it was incorrect so I went to go inside and the doors were locked early. A young lady looked at me through the door and told me to go back to the window. I held my bag up to let her know my order was wrong and by now 5 more cars waiting in drive through so I let her know I’m not waiting in line again. All without ever coming to the door she holds up her finger and mouths that her manager will be with me. The manager never comes to the door and several employees are staring at me. I knock on the door and they all ignore me. So I walk around to the drive through after 10 minutes and tells another young lady the issue and she tells me ok my manager will come help you. I got back and stand at the front door and again employees are looking at me and after 15 minutes the manager still has not come so I knock they ignore me again. Manager finally comes to the door so bythis time I’ve been at church’s about 45 minutes. I tell him the Issue with my order he goes through the bag and takes the chicken out holding pieces in his hand and thought he was just gonna put it back in the box and hand it back to me. I tell him to either replace my order or refund my money. He tells me to refund my card will be 3 days. He gives me a Lemonaid and says he replace the order. The chicken was over cooked which tells me all he did was drop that same chicken he’d just handled with his hands back in grease and gave it right back to me. I threw the entire order in the trash. Today was the last straw.. I grew up in this area and this Church’s was always my go to, however the service and portions offered in today’s meal have turned me away for good. Regarding the food, I remember when the chicken was well seasoned and of adequate portions for the price. I ordered a mixed meal that came only with a wing( a breast was an upcharge of $250) that in itself was ridiculous considering the meals price. The wing that was included was included could only be described as a hot wing, I thought I was at Popeyes the piece was so small. I brought it to the attention of the manager and her only response was “ there’s nothing I can do about it, fill out a survey”. Her attitude was bad enough but when you couple that with the fact that I had to wait for twenty minutes to order with what began as an empty lobby, it was ridiculous. She made sure to make excuses about a new menu that was uploaded and that she wasn’t used to it. All I saw was empty chicken shelves at 12 noon, dropping fries when the shelf had been empty until someone ordered fries. Do these people get training. I should have asked for a refund, but I was flabbergasted at the attitude. When I expressed my dissatisfaction, she asked me to leave her store. I did leave and I will not return to any location .
