I'm new to Texas so I decided to stop at Taco Cabana on my way home for a quick bite. Placed my order for a shredded chicken combo (2 tacos, chips, queso, & drink) at 3:19pm. About 10 minutes in the cashier, looked at me and said "It's almost done." How hard could it be for an order that simple, right? Three minutes later, the couple who'd ordered after me had received their meal. At this point I'm extremely annoyed and I see the cashier go in the back and ask her manager what's going on because I've been waiting longer than the people who just got food and literally all I ordered is tacos. A minute later, the cashier brings me out two coupons (THEY ARE EXPIRED) and tells me sorry for the wait accompanied by another worker who brought me out chips & queso and said "Here you go ma'am, these are for your wait. So sorry about that." I'm extremely irritated by now. But a few minutes later I'd walked to my car and a young lady brings my food out to me. Half my order is missing (chips & queso). Don't bring me out chips & queso for my wait but then decide that it's apart of my meal so you don't give me what I ordered. That meal could've easily been for someone else. I just decided to leave, it is now 3:41PM but needless to say I WILL NOT BE RETURNING TO TACO CABANA. I WAITED 22 MINUTES FOR TWO TACOS! COMPLETELY RIDICULOUS. They did fill my tacos up with a little extra chicken and the cashier seemed to care so they get one more star but... NOPE! I'll drive to...
Read moreAwful practice of cleaning and sanitary measures. The things I witnessed while here had to be a violation of health codes. Where shall I start. The girl on register who's name begins with an "M" has a nasty habit of sticking her fingers in your cup as she hands it to you. She has a nasty habit of touching her face, body, clothing and trash and not washing her hands. I witnessed her also restock plastic silverware by grabbing the utensils by the part you put in your mouth, laying them on the dirty counter then picking them up and using her body and clothing as a way to stack them before placing in the bin for use. This was all after she had removed a wet and what appeared to be a dirty towel from the trash bin cabinet, just laying inside on bottom, no sanitizer water, nothing and she proceeded to wipe down table tops and chairs. Never during any of this did she stop to wash her hands. The girl in the back making orders on the line had her keys on a lanyard around her neck and every time she reached her keys went in the food. I used to love coming here for the music and drinks but this place has gone down hill really fast and it didn't reopen...
Read moreI’ve been going to this taco cabana for years even though i have been disappointed a lot by them i understand it’s busy and short staffed but today i went to the drive thru, my food wasn’t ready when i got to the window so they asked me to pull up which i had no problem with i just asked for salsa. Finally after being pulled waiting for 5 mins i get my food but there’s no salsa. So i go inside and it takes me about 8 mins to get someone’s attention to ask for someone’s attention and ask for salsa. There was also other customers waiting for service. I get home and i get the wrong order. This is my first time ever writing a review because i understand mistakes happen but i feel like it’s way to frequently at this location. And now I’m tempted to drive further for better service on O’Conner &35 because that one i never had an issue. It’s just sad to see this one go down hell every time i visit. Also i understand it’s hot cause we’re in Texas but i don’t think an employee wearing a muscle shirt is appropriate...
