If there’s a Burger Heaven, we found It!!!!
We have been wanting to try this burger joint out for over a year, just never remember or not in the neighborhood - but all the stars lined up today and it happened!
Holy Toledo why did we wait so darn long to find the Heaven of burgers!!!!
Cheddar or American we were asked, 4oz or 8oz followed with wanna make it a combo; I wanted to say “YES” to everything!
The place is super clean and huge, the staff is so friendly and welcoming, is this your first time they all asked, yes, we said; what took you all so long they said?
Parking can be a tad frustrating but get over it, it is totally worth it.
We get our cups and a buzzer, e we take a seat and watch the line to order grow, we see others before us getting their orders, then our buzzer goes off as we jump up and go get out red plastic basket of Heaven!!
The bun has been toasted too perfection and shiny with grease/oil/butter whooo knows. The cheese, the cheddar cheese is Oozing and running out from all sides of the burger, then we see the fries! WTH, fresh cut fries the color they they were reminded me of my grandmas home made fries, I couldn’t make it to the table without eating one and all I can say us perfection, home run on the fries.
We sit down grab the hot burger with greasy buns and take a bite….. BAAAAAAMM , Boooooom the buns are toasted but soft, the lettuce is crisp, just the right slot of mustard and Mayo and the tomatoes are diced and the juice runs out and falls into the basket (drip, drip) you hear it fall and hit the paper. Then you taste the meat with a small crisped to perfection end on the meat, we got the 4oz and it was juicy, thick and just the right amount of seasoning. And then the cheddars explosion happens, all this takes place after every single bite til you finish the entire burger!
My explanation can’t do this burger Justice, you have to go, get up and start heading to the West side of San Antonio done on zarzamora you can’t miss it, Pink building on the corner.
You will not regret this decision, you may regret that it took you so darn long to go but you will leave satisfied and happy to be alive!
Whatever you all are doing over there at Diana’s, keep doing it and tell Diana thank you for opening this gem in the west side of San...
Read moreIn the search of burgers in SA, the Mrs. and I came across Diana's. The parking situation can be a bit annoying considering how scattered it was. A few parking spaces in front of the restaurant, some on the left of the street and some on the right. It was a dark and busy evening so that added to our inconvenience, thankfully we found some spaces. Inside, the joint was very busy and there was a bit of a line. The line wasn't super slow but not as fast as it could/should be. I ordered an American cheese burger with jalapeno and bacon. My wife did the same, minus the jalapeno and bacon. There was overall a decent amount of seating, though the restaurant was lacking a busboy or maintenance. We decided to clear trash off another table so we were able to sit somewhere. Needing to wash my hands, I sought out the hand sanitizer upfront. It was empty, so I headed to the John. Surprisingly clean, though the soap dispenser was dry. I guess you don't need clean hands here to hold a burger? The burgers arrived in a timely manner. At first glance, we noticed that the buns had an oily residue from the kitchen staff handling them. This may turn off some customers, I didn't gripe as I noticed they looked like this in some of the Google images. Both of our sandwiches had mustard on them, though we clearly stated that we didn't want any. Our cashier even claimed that the burgers didn't come with mustard to begin with. Confusing.. The burgers were nothing special, I could easily tell that the cheese was Kraft slices from a grocery store. Not an attractive cheese for a restaurant in our opinions. They were skimpy on the fries as well, while being overly generous on my jalapenos. Over 2$ for added bacon is a bit pricey if you ask me. Lastly, The food was OK. The bun did have a nice crust to it and everything was hot and fresh. But this place is nothing special and not worth the 20 min drive in the...
Read moreHonestly, I've driven by for years as its so close to little flower..I finally considered trying it after seeing a review on tiktok.
Traffic was insane as we were technically coming from out of town. We arrived an hour before close and my elderly mother and I waited in a line just about out the door. It went quickly.
We stated we were first time visitors which maybe seems to a regular thing after the tktk plugs..my mom asked for her burger to be cut in half and the cashier told her they couldn't do that but there were utensils available..ok no problem.
Mom has an extreme aversion to plastic utensils and she freaked and I had to cut it for her...we both got the big jale cheese burgers. The cheese was delicious. I thought the burgers were good.
A lady was frantically bussing the packed house as she said several people called in.
Mom told her they refused to cut her burger in half and before I knew it my mom had a delayed anger reaction and was telling the lady she would never return.
I quickly escorted my furious old mama out and as soon as we got in her vehicle a light flashed that an attempt was made to break into her vehicle
Food was good but as w many we can't afford to eat out like we used to. We made a special concerted effort to try the place and for them to flat out refuse a simple request of an elderly, local born in the west side of San Antonio?? No mas no.
They had a picture of Emiliano zapata on the wall. Emiliano zapata gifted a rifle to my grandfather many years ago
My mother didn't react immediately but ultimately felt like the cashier disrespected the elderly and disregarded our efforts to try the resteraunt at all
Even waterburger cuts it in half for her. Also the place was jam packed and was set up like a cafeteria or old time dance hall..i liked it but mom was very unhappy....Honestly I was embarrassed and we...
