The Board Couple — Restaurant in San Antonio

We received a beautiful and delicious board from “The Board Couple” this morning. If that was all this review was about the 5 Star rating would be well deserved. However, when the board was delivered a series of events occurred that were frightening to say the least. Clayton, the delivery man from the Board Couple, arrived just as the person the delivery was for was taken by EMS personnel to the ER in response to complaints of chest pains that were exacerbated by previous recent medical problems. When Clayton noticed that the only person in the house was wheelchair bound and in a state of panic he voluntarily came inside (with the lady’s permission), and cleared space and placed the board inside the refrigerator. After having done that he asked the lady if she was okay and if she needed anything. She said that she didn’t, but Clayton stayed with her until the lady’s husband drove up to the house. It wasn’t until he was sure that someone was with the lady before he finally said that he had to get back to work. My niece and her husband were still so stressed out and nervous that they forgot to for the name of the delivery person. Later, I called “The Board Couple” and talked to Monica, one of the owners, and told her this whole story and giving thanks to Clayton (she gave me his name) for his actions. Her answer and obvious concern for our family member was also very appreciated. After the nerves were over we ate some of the items on the board (veggies and charcuterie) and they were delicious. I definitely recommend The Board Couple for anyone needing a beautiful and delicious charcuterie board and other items as a special gift or for themselves. To Clayton we say “Thank You and God bless you for everything you did for our family.” Happy New Year. My baby brother had just received a job offer in his field of study and was about to turn 28, so I thought I ought to give him a nice surprise on his birthday. He loves Charcuterie boards from Harry & David, but they take a few weeks to send out a basket so I thought to search for a local Charcuterie board vendor to help me out. I found a few but ultimately I chose TBC because of their transparent pricing and availability. After texting to confirm they could turn my request around and deliver the next day (very responsive via text), I submitted an order for the Round to be delivered to the south side of San Antonio. My family( mother, and 3 younger brothers) received it on time, from a very courteous and considerate driver Clayton (who called me to make sure someone would pick up the board), and were thrilled. When they opened up the wrapped board, they encountered an abundance of fresh flowers, cheeses, meats, nuts and fruits. Along with the crackers TBC provided, they pretty quickly devoured just about everything that night except for the nuts and fruits. They were extremely pleased and very complimentary. Absolutely love The Board Couple! For little over a year now, we have been going there for Blackberry Academy to take their classes/workshops. Blackberry Academy is a series of classes focused on charcuterie board styling, wine pairings, and even making cocktails. The classes are so much fun and very informative! Great for a date night, outing with a small group of friends, or even for someone going solo.
