Unfortunate Decline in Quality and Service
As a weekly recurring neighborhood customer, I feel it's time to inform the public about my recent experiences.
The personnel are not welcoming when you walk in. Staff are often on their phones, thinking we can't see, but we can. They seem unenthusiastic about taking orders, giving the impression that they do not enjoy their jobs.
Recently, the donuts have been tasting absolutely atrocious and inconsistent. This decline has only been noticeable in the last week or two.
The lobby could definitely use more cleaning, and the same goes for the bathrooms. It seems the "clean as you go" mentality doesn't apply here. As for the drive-through, you can't miss the lack of enthusiasm in the staff's voices, making it clear they are not thrilled you chose Dunkin' over the nearby Starbucks.
Frequent shortages of various products due to poor management communication have become a common issue. Staff have told me they voice their shortages, but the regional manager frequently overrides or ignores these requests, leading to unnecessary product shortages.
What's more concerning is the regional manager's behavior. Allegedly, his name is Stetson, though I was unable to confirm if that is a first or last name. He is reportedly in his 30s and allegedly involved with a 19-year-old employee at this location. His predatory behavior towards female staff is noticeable and unacceptable.
Due to these accumulated issues and the concerning management behavior, I will no longer bring my business to Dunkin' Donuts at Shaenfield, 8027 W Loop 1604 N Access Rd, San Antonio, TX 78254.
Be warned and stay away. 1 star for Google / food service. Zero for...
Read moreThis place needs to get it together. They're super slow, regardless of how busy or slow they are. Take way too long. Also, I go there quite a bit since I work down the street. I've had a few inconvenient experiences there, but the last one ultimately made me stop going. I was in the drive through last time, and after I paid the cashier (girl, one with glasses, smaller one since there's two) as she was handing me my change, she barley gave me enough time to grab it, and it flew out of my hand into the street! I was so pissed. They're always forgetting things in my order and basic stuff to, such as a fork, napkins, etc. Another time I was there inside ordering, I ordered a few things for me and a coworker, same cashier, took my order, and apparently after waiting almost 15 mins and I had asked her the status of my order, she said, "Oh what did you order?" even though she knew and plus, nobody else came in yet after me, it was slow. I showed my recipet, she then said the system didn't register it, then they started making it. Absolutely ridiculous! Waited for nothing! Wasted time!! Another time, I ordered just a hot coffee and she (same girl) then looked at me, kept staring then said, "oh", then started making it. I'm not sure what's happening at this location. Whether they're smoking in the back or just plain slow in more ways than one. The manager or area manager needs to check in and get this place on board. Ppl don't have time to waste, especially teachers since our break is just half an hour. I've now stopped going to this location. I'd rather drive further somewhere else. Get it together, guys. Read moreHire managers and staff that actually know what they are doing SMH.
Went through this mornin at 630 - there was ONE car behind me and inside had not 1 person in it and 3 people working inside not including the manager. I pull up to the window and ask to add on a kolache and the girl said “sorry I can’t add it on we are so busy you have to drive all the way around and order again” I said um no, that’s not how it works it’s one simple add on and there’s literally one car behind me. So I didn’t order my kolache. Then she forgot to give me my donut . So I had to turn around for that. When I called to speak with the manager to let her know that the staff member at the window should have not denied me of my order for ONE kolache that literally takes like 30 seconds to heat up in the small microwave oven. She proceeded to say “oh I’m sorry, I’m new here so I don’t know if that’s a rule or not” like what? first of all how did they hire you as manager when you don’t even know the rules of the restaurant you work at. Have you ever been through a drive thru that told you “sorry drive around again for your small add on order because 2 cars in my drive thru is too busy for me”. I never have . They need new...
