Pollos Asados “El Carbonero” is a hidden treasure in the realm of Mexican restaurants. Although the dining area is modest in size and unassuming in decor, this smaller setting contributes to a warm and inviting atmosphere that complements the culinary experience. The restaurant's focus on cleanliness is evident, making it a comfortable place to enjoy a meal.
The food here is a delightful surprise, freshly prepared and bursting with flavor. The highlight for me was the sizzling dishes, each generously topped with lusciously melted cheese, speaking volumes about their commitment to quality and taste. The menu is varied, featuring succulent rotisserie chicken, savory beef fajitas, tender short ribs, and rich, flavorful stews - each dish showcasing the best of traditional Mexican cuisine.
Sides at Pollos Asados “El Carbonero” are not mere afterthoughts. The rice and beans are particularly delicious, offering a comforting accompaniment to the main courses. The guacamole and grilled onions, with their fresh and smoky flavors, were perfect pairings for the meal.
One of the most pleasing aspects of dining here is the portion size. The servings are quite generous, ensuring that diners leave not just satisfied, but happily full.

In summary, Pollos Asados “El Carbonero” is a must-visit for anyone in search of authentic, flavorful Mexican cuisine. The combination of fresh ingredients, skillful cooking, and hearty portions make it a standout dining destination, despite its smaller and...
Read moreI've been wanting to try this place for awhile. I order a half chicken which comes with half a chicken, rice, grilled onion, 2 grilled jalapenos, 4 corn tortillas, and I purchased a cup of boracho beans because it was considered extra. I understand the chicken is pre-grilled but having many years of culinary experience I know there are ways to keep the food hot even though its already cooked and not cooked at the time its ordered. Restaurants wont do this because they done want to keep it hot and then have the item get over cooked or dry and then not be able to serve it. There are a couple of options one being the use of a steamer. The fact that a restaurant would willingly sell cold pre-cooked food is beyond me. I never did try the rice and the beans I purchased that the waitress said were "very good" were slightly under cooked. I doubt I would go back and spend another $10 (not including drink or beans)...

Solid Pollos Asados. With some of the more famous places in town starting to slip in quality I decided to try this place close to home. The chicken was very good! Charro beans good though very salty. The rice is sadly sad. Just some rice boiled in Knorr. But I will still call this place my new go to for Char Chicken. Good job you guys. Staff was fine. Food came out quickly on a slow Sunday. Whole chicken, rice, beans, good fresh corn tortillas (probably from a local molino) a jalepeno, half a grilled onion (very good!) and two salsas. Ok you owe ma another red salsa! heehee. I got one red and one green but I should have got two reds. That stuff is great! Thanks you guys! all...
