La Joya Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in San Antonio

I normally don’t write reviews... but this place is the worst Mexican restaurant I have ever been to. Both the service and food are absolutely horrible.

First off.... the menu had a TON of misspelled items. Anyone hear of spellcheck? Not very professional for what was supposed to be a highly google rated establishment.

Then, it took over an hour to get my flavorless beef fajitas. The server forgot my added sour cream and guacamole and had to ask her several times. All in all, couldn’t finish it started to make me feel queazy.

To top it off...When asking why the guac tasted like they added mayonnaise to it, the rude lady behind the counter became defensive and started arguing with me... even asked me what I knew about guac anyways... as if I’ve never had it before. REALLY?!!?

With all the options here in San Antonio, take your money and go...

No one greets you when you enter, no help at the counter when trying to order to go, when finally noticed, I was asked what I wanted to order but no menu had been given. When finally ready 3 waiters walked by while I stood at counter until I flagged one down saying g i was ready to order. Order was written down incorrectly & extras not added. Cashier shows up, placing food at empty table i sat down to wait at, saying that it was occupied. 10 mins pass after I finally get charged (with a credit card fee of 3.50%) and sit at another table and a family of 3 walks in from outside and gets escorted to the 1st table with food awaiting them... so they lie to their paying customers to favor personal relationships or friendships.

As i was walking in to sit at table with a party of 5 a waitress comment we close at 3pm it was bearly 2pm we sat and ordered we never got chips and at this time about 5 more customers showed up and were greeted the same way we close at 3pm in a way that sounded like the customer didnt have enough time to eat .And as we were sitting down not ready to leave the waiteress bring me the bill and ask us to pay because there were closing it was bearly past 3pm . I had gone to this resturant in the past and wanted to give them my buisness but after today i will never go back or recomend it . I KNOW THE COOK NOT AT FAULT BUT WONT CRITIZE THE FOOD BUT THE...
