H-E-B — Local services in San Antonio

I went to floral yesterday to get my balloons inflated for my mom’s birthday. April 7, 2023. I walked in and I saw a worker by the name (KATE) who didn’t acknowledge me while I was standing, she just turned and looked at me and continued with her flowers. I waited and then asked if she could help me, she came over and gave me attitude, very unprofessional and rude. I felt very uncomfortable because I’m a regular customer at this location. She was charging me for inflation and charging me for balloons that were bought already. She gave me the first receipt of $30, I didn’t have a receipt for one ballon that I had already bought at another H‑E‑B, I was looking through my wallet while she just stared hard and watched me, her phone started ringing and she said oh I’m Taking this call, go ahead and let me know when you find it (giving me a hard time.) I saw her on her cell phone extremely rude, talking about her personal issues about divorce with someone (ex husband because he cheated on her (very unprofessional again.) I then asked for a manager (she then gave attitude and said, I am the manager she was very rude, speaking loudly as if she were trying to attack me. I asked to speak to someone higher then her, I spoke with mike, he resolved my situation 100 percent but as soon as he left Kate gave me a receipt asap and said go pay first, rude again. (Ignoring what Mike had told her to do) I walked away and still paid $19,47 that she charged me for, intentionally. She also charged me on my receipt that says, banquet of balloons, as if I purchase a set, (Kate may have issues.) I had a nail appointment at 10:00am, I wasn’t going to call Mike back because she didn’t follow the rules. Mike did tell me to come back to the store and bring my receipts, I feel it’s inconvenient since I moved about 15 minutes away, since she could’ve followed the rules but didn’t or I wouldn’t be in this situation. Kate is not fit for a manager and she’s very unprofessional, rude and she doesn’t care for her customers and she’s letting her personal issues come to work and it’s affecting her, terribly. I hope no one gets treated this way. I’ve never been treated this way before by anyone that worked here, this is why I’m writing...

Clean,well lit parking; clean store, fresh produce,baked goods, samples available on weekends, personnel is always helpful. You can pick-up medicine,pay bills, buy tickets to city events, get lottery tickets at the business center then get groceries, seasonal items,floral items,deli items, & a few clothing items at reasonable prices. The pharmacy is your stop to fill& pickup prescriptions for yourself, your family & even your pets. They offer cholesterol tests, A1C tests, BP checkups once a month. Just check with your neighborhood HEB for dates & times. Most locations have cell phone vendors, nail salons, banks. You'll find rent 2 buy stores furniture/appliances inside a few of the HEB PLUS locations. Another wonderful goodie is that the HEB PLUS STORES sell garden items, such as flowers, plants, hoses, fertilizers, & garden/patio furniture. I highly recommend the plus stores that have TRUE TEXAS BBQ. Their baked potatoes are TEXAS SIZE. Your options are the baker 'tater by itself, or get it loaded with brisket, sliced or pulled pork, turkey, chicken, or sausage. I will say this. One of these hearty potatoes, with or without meat is at the very least 2½ meals. There's plates available with 1,2,3 meats. All of the sides are equally scrumptious, & well deserving of the title TRUE TEXAS BBQ. Of these locations, there are 3 in the north side, one on far west side, one in Pleasanton, Seguin, & Kerrville, and 2 in New Braunfels. For truly delicious, savory, smoky TEXAS BBQ you'll want to get it here. You can also get gas ⛽ & carwash @. the HEB plus stores. The small HEB convenience store is in the parking lot at the HEB PLUS locations. You can shop in store, or order online & select curbside or delivery. Although there is a fee for delivery, curbside is free at certain hours. Just check online. I always select the hrs when there isn't a fee. The partners that bring your groceries to your vehicle are always courteous, upbeat, & very helpful. So much to see, do, & shop for at your local HEB. It truly is a one stop...

One star soly due to the fact that this place does not have nfc contactless payments I was not aware of this and I like a majority of folks do not carry cash or debit cards due to the higher chance of losing one of them the least amount of items I carry on me the more convenient and I can not believe that one of the largest corporations in texas does not have this method of payment available for its costumers I literally shopped for over an hour just to come to the self checkout and be told that nfc contactless payments are not available and as one of the manager stated “we don’t plan on getting it either” I feel H-E-B should get with the times and not make the same mistake that the online social media platform “MySpace” made by refusing to conform and upgrade to the changes and advancements of society contactless payments are are the future and are greatly being used today they are faster than inserting a chip they help to stop the spread of Covid and other germs and diseases that can be spread by the contact and passing around of currency I truly feel H-E-B should get with the times and consider implementing NFC Contactless payments just like majority of businesses have implemented the method thing at H-E-B should get with the times it is very inconvenient not have these payment methods that people are...
