Read this if you have ever walked into a place and felt so out of place! i walk in and instantly get looks from every person in the place, weird but ok lets move on. i sit down directly in front of the bartender ( that is important) and ask for a menu ( Maybe he doesnt have good hearing which is not his fault ) i had to explain 5X because the music was pretty loud and the bartender couldn’t hear me. Anyways i sit there for 10 minutes when someone walks to the bar and asks for water, which then the bartender remembers to ask if I would like a water or a drink. Mind you i’ve been sitting in front of him this whole time. Anyway get my water and go to order ( mind you i remember to speak up because its loud and he can not hear me) I point to the burgers and ask for all the toppings( lettuce, tomato, etc.) with cheese and jalepenos, pointing to it on the menu to help relay the message. Also it is buy one get one so i asked for both of them the same. He gives me an ok. Burger comes with only cheese and bacon no toppings, which the menu says comes with. The waitress comes by to give me my second burger ready for takeout and I let her know that i didnt get the burger i wanted so she goes to the back to get the toppings. The burgers you can get from Whataburger look way better than what I got. Im hungry though and am always willing to give it a try, which I was correct is nothing special. Was expecting to pay 20 for the BOGO burger deal but of course im charged for onion rings when they didnt have fries for 4$ which were soggy, greasy, and bland. In total comes out to 30 bucks with 20 % tip. Cannot believe i paid 30$ for that experience. The only positive I can give the place is the waitress that welcomed me when I came in and when she tried to fix my burger up. I really hope owners or workers take a look at this and try to fix it up as the restaurant business is difficult and the market is in need of small businesses, however criticism is also needed in...

Went for a birthday dinner 8/3/24. Ordered and things were fine but part of our order (the 1lb of wings) never came. Had 2 servers that helped us. One of them was shorter and really gave the best service one could ask for. She would come check on us and communicated with us in a positive way. Even in the end when she knew things didnt come out satisfactory, she handled it with ease. Very professional and wish she was our only server. The other was a taller girl with red hair and she was very dismissive acted like she owned the place which im sure she didnt. If she does then definitely have more questions. Nicely asked her at one point (a while after the other food had come out), about the order of wings and couldnt finish my sentence before she rudely cut me off and said "they are tossing them right now". In the end we left with zero wings cause i guess they were tossing some ghost wings. Would have all been fine but she definitely brought the vibe down, even when she played shocked that the invisible wings never made it to our plate. At least she said they would take them off the bill. The other server saved it. Really went above and beyond with every aspect of customer service. Have worked in the industry before and i know being overwhelmed can play a part in things or just being tired but we learn to work around it and do the job. She was happily working the bar, so maybe she was a bartender doing extra work. At the end of the day it might have been a "bad night" but id gladly go back time and time again to the sub shop that shares...

As the fire raged across 1604 in the Jacuzzi/Spa company, we needed a place to wait in the AC until the road reopened so we could get into our development.

So, we sauntered into Encore Bar and Grill. The menu has a lot of options and we decided .... let's eat! Oh Boy did we eat!!

Ordered fried mushrooms and and onion rings for the appetizer. If you can imagine two white foam take home boxes they were both full of mushrooms and onion rings. The chef is known for preparing extra large appetizers.

We ordered the garlic grilled chicken with grilled asparagus and seasoned, chunky mashed potatoes. We also ordered a ruben sandwich on rye with fries...The ruben came with a full 10 inch plate covered in fries. I couldn't find the ruben sandwich under all the fries. All of the food was superior, excellent, and tasty. The only problem was we could not finish it all. If you like XL size portions, then this is the place for you.

We will be going back, but if I want my "old as dirt" parents to come with us, we need some lower tables with regular chairs as the high bar chairs are not accessible for them.

Remember the kitchen closes at 10, but the bar stays open till way later. The ambiance is large TV screens, guitars and great...

We finally went to the Encore Bar and Grill tonight. Food was fantastic. Music was rockin’. Owner/chef Gary was extremely nice to us! The wait staff was wonderful. We got our drinks almost as soon as we walked in, food arrived in under 10 minutes. Sorry, I had eaten half my chicken fried steak before I thought to get a photo. Husband had his version of the Loco Moco. Owner is from Hawaii so the menu items refect that in some of the dishes. I saw someone being served fish and chips and I’m getting that next time! The best thing we tried was saved for last, homemade hot peach cobbler and ice cream covered with vanilla and cinnamon and deliciousness. I can’t believe I didn’t take a picture. It was about 8” high with fresh, homemade whipped cream and drizzled with caramel sauce. By the way, did I mention the mashed potatoes were hand mashed? Now open for breakfast and brunch on the weekends, live music with a new schedule coming soon with all kinds of musicians. Superb experience. Can’t wait to go back. Redland Rd at 1604 near 281. 😋 YUM

We visited Encore Bar & Grill on Redland and 1604 for yesterday’s lunch. It’s in the same plaza as Gong Cha, Mimosa Gossip, and Hotworx. They’ve been open for a little over 4 months. There are specials every day of the week! I tried the Blue Hawaiian drink special and it was good! Hubby and Dad both had Lemonade. A couple were about to leave and I asked them what they ordered: Reuben, Philly Cheesesteak, and Onion Rings, and all were good. We ordered the Loaded Potato Skins to start. Hubby had the Philly Cheesesteak with Onion Rings instead of fries. I saw the Hong Kong Sea Bass on the menu for $34 and paused momentarily. I rolled the dice for Dad and I to share this and it was a good-sized portion and phenomenal! Gary, the head chef, checked on us several times to ensure we were enjoying the food and that the food quality was good. Reagan was the bartender/server who took good care of us. Encore Bar & Grill reminded me of a local restaurant version of Rocks and Brews. If you’re in the area, check them out!

This place is definitely a skip. Service was terrible, had about 4 different servers that had no idea what they were doing. Constantly got our order wrong multiple times, we finally got 1 good server who it was her first day but she recovered pretty well despite the 3 previous terrible servers. We ordered 3 pizzas, 2 of which were never placed even though we repeated it 6 times with the 3 different servers until finally the 4th server got it done for us. Super greasy, but flavorful pizza. Also ordered mozzarella sticks that were just sitting until they finally remembered to bring it to our table, gross and cold. Everyone ordered sweet tea and they sat empty forever until finally one older server brought us a pitcher and told us to pour it ourselves. Had to ask multiple times for plates and napkins for the pizza. Just overall bad experience and won’t come back.
