This is one of my FAVORITE moments on the tour! We were blessed to meet the brother and owner of Halal Fried Chicken at the same time as trying Pakistani food! I felt such a warm welcome walking into their establishment. They displayed a variety of foods from halal breakfast, pizza, chicken dishes, desserts, I honestly need to go find my passport because they made sure to truly introduce their brand to 18 individuals who never had Pakistani food before and will be back with their friends and family. This came directly from their mouths as I was thrilled to receive this feedback. Everyone felt more than welcomed and I could not have asked for a better turn out! P.S. Mrs. @rahatshahid, my mom absolutely adores your establishment and your family for truly showing out! Your customers already attending restaurant even gave us so many compliments and inquiries. I am honored to have Fusion Foods represent our company and will be in our Royale Foodie Directory!! P.S. I can’t wait to go back and eat that fried bread, potatoes, chic peas, and eggs, and halwa again we’ll really everything! That was truly a unique experience! Thank you for your warm hospitality we truly appreciate your efforts! 💛 #royalefoodietour

Absolutely fantastic Pakistani/Indian restaurant, with lovely and attentive staff. We made our way over for the weekend brunch buffet and it was absolutely incredible. Fresh naan constantly rolling out, and a simple but delicious variety of dishes to choose from. The stands outs were the slow cooked beef and the chickpeas. The beef was very tender and juicy, while the chickpeas were full of spice and flavor. In fact, every dish was incredibly seasoned. It is a bit heavy, with a healthy amount of turmeric and other spices that definitely give it a kick. If you like your spice, this place is a must try. The staff were also absolutely incredible. The chef and other staff members regularly came to our table to see how the food was, and if we needed any more fresh naan or anything else. They were super friendly and happy to explain the dishes and what they consisted of. They also have a few vegan options. They are not plentiful, but the ones they have are fantastic. There were chickpeas, potatoes, smashed sweet potato with sugar and different breads. Overall, amazing Pakistani/Indian restaurant! Their regular menu also has tons of other options, including pizza, chicken, and Indian dishes.

Dec. 2022: While cleaning out this week, I found a San Antonio unused gift card we bought from Costco and decided to use it. We thought to try @fusionfoodsa which was Pakistani/Indian restaurant in the Fredericksburg North plaza. They had a buffet for about $17. My husband and I did the buffet since we can eat some spicy food. We ordered Butter Chicken and Samosas for Dad for the non-spicy option. My husband and I both had the Mango Lassi. For the thumbs up, the food with the buffet was very good. Not sure what all the names of the dishes were. There was tendon that was very tender. Might have been goat. The Mango Delight dessert was yummy and Mohammed said it was ok for Dad to have some even though he didn't get the buffet. The thumbs down part is that they didn't end up having the Samosas which we found out 30 minutes later and the Butter Chicken came out as we were done eating. Mixed review really. Can't tell you if the chicken was good or not since we took it home. If it says anything about authenticity though, we were the only non-Pakistani/Indian patron there.

I never thought I would write a review like this, but I left this restaurant today feeling hurt and disappointed. My friends and I have been coming here for over three and a half years, and I’ve brought many people to try it. Sadly, after this last experience, we will not be returning.

There were four of us. Three ordered the buffet, and one friend, who is on a diet, ordered a healthier meal from the menu. While waiting for his food to arrive, he absentmindedly picked a cucumber or two from our salad plates. It’s something any of us might do while waiting for our own order, and it seemed harmless and understandable since he had already placed his order.

The owner saw this and came over. Instead of handling it with understanding or even just charging us for another buffet if she felt it was necessary, she chose to speak to us in a way that was rude, disrespectful, and unnecessary. We tried to explain that he was not sharing the buffet but simply waiting for his own meal, yet she wasn’t interested in listening. Her tone was unkind and made us feel embarrassed, unwelcome, and unappreciated after years of being loyal customers. It truly hurt my feelings and my friends’ feelings too.

Sadly, this experience has left us with no choice but to say goodbye to a place...
