Service was friendly. atmosphere is ok but the place needs better maintenance (bathroom had no water and tables needed better cleaning). Food: we ordered a dish that is mainly rice. It came with a side and salad which were really good but rice was not fresh. Also, they served us bread with the dish (we did not order bread) but we had to pay for the bread separately. Additionally, we were a family of 5 so they served food in 2 bigger trays but the quantity was not STANDARD for 5 people. We checked photos of other customers and we found the difference. Restaurants have standard quantity that is served for one person, doubled for 2 and multiplied by 5 for five people. It has nothing to do with how much people eat. 5+ stars for this truly authentic Afghan Food restaurant. The service is outstanding, the food is superb and delicious. Prices are great and the food food serving is humongous. You will not be able to find better Afghan food in San Antonio and even away from San Antonio. We ordered the Kabuli Rice that is served with a big lamb shank, we also had an order of bolani, which is made of bread like tortilla filled with potatoes. The bolani was so good and the flavor was amazing. My wife ordered the lamb chops with rice and the flavor of it was amazing. We came to give this place a try. It was a bit difficult to find as the name is not visible. Interior is very unique and home-like. The flavor of the food was very good, all the meat, rice. We got a family size tray/platter and everything tasted delicious. However, took 1 star off bc the tray is meant to feed 5-6 people, yet it came with 1 measly plate of veggie which is enough for 1 bite per person if that. It came with 1 bread only to share. Took off another star for the lackluster service. There was 1 gentleman at the register and he didn’t offer any drinks. When we asked for water, he went to his car and got a case of water out.
