This little neighborhood ice cream shop is a hidden gem! They offer different flavors than most shops, like eggnog, cheesecake (blackberry and strawberry) honey and cream cheese, marzipan an,d blueberry, as well as standard flavors like chocolate (plain or with pecans) and hazelnut. A lot of the flavors are listed in Spanish so if you’re unsure, either ask or have your Google translator ready! They also have sorbet and fruit (non-dairy) offerings. They will serve in a cup or cone and offer some toppings likes sprinkles and nuts. They have pints to go as well and offer drinks, shakes (they can make any flavor into a shake) and mangonadas. Their menu lists other snacks like frito pie - we enjoyed some Corn in a Cup and it was delicious!!. But the real star is their ice cream. It is frozen soft but not melted or runny and it is so creamy. The texture is hard to describe - I have never had ice cream this creamy. It is so good! Do yourself a favor and head over to this shop. Personally, the ice cream I got was not good, im not sure if i got a bad batch. It had this brown liquid ( has a chemical taste) in it that i had to mix. Also, I have never felt discriminated, by my own community until now. Woman refused to help me when I spoke English to her. I quickly noticed she answered to me only in Spanish, even though she is bilingual also. I had brought kids that only spoke English that felt the same way since they could not order. Just came back from purchasing a few paletas but decided to get a cheese/blackberry scoop of ice cream and a fresh papaya water. Let me tell you… as soon as I tasted the papaya water, my brain took me to the place I was born, amazing memories with my family. All the love I was given, all the amazing food and fruits I was lucky to have for 20 years. Best papaya water I have tasted in many, many years. The ice cream was delicious.
