I want to give them more stars, but just can't. The staff is freindly, the place is clean, they are fast and reasonably priced. The fried rice was BOMB. My whole meal was about $11 with tip. I can't give it more stars for the following reasons: The food was lukewarm at best I couldn't chew the meat long enough, my jaw is still sore And the BIGGEST reason of all: I read that the egg rolls were shrimp, pork and chicken. To clarify I ASKED if the egg rolls has shrimp and had a quickly friendly "Yes" as a reply. So, I ordered a lunch special by asking for it "without the egg roll because I am allergic to Shrimp" I got a friendly response that I could have extra rice and agreed to it. I took my # and sat down. About 5 minutes later food came out and looked gorgeous to my hungry eyes at first site. Then I look again...and there...touching my food...AN EGG ROLL! When brought to the gentleman's attention that brought it to me, he removed it for me. I also dumped the food it touched into my half gone soup (I was HUNGRY and love soup) and proceeded to eat. The gentleman check on me a few times, took stuff away as I was done and was awesome. Towards the end, I felt the throat closing and food stuck. I ended up with the emergency puking in the bathroom and going to my car for a large dosage of benadryl. So far other then itching and a few hives peeking through, I can finally breathe basically normal. BUT this means they don't get more stars or my...
Read moreWok Inn is always a go-to when we have no idea where else we should eat, haha. The staff was very kind when we went! :) I wish on the website there was an option to opt out of a plastic bag and plastic utensils to help curb single use plastic usage. That's why we decided to dine in this time because it helps to avoid waste but also because we rarely just sit down to eat with each other, so it was a nice experience. They offer reusable cups when you dine in, but we were handed Styrofoam ones, and then asked for reusable ones instead. I know the local and state governments need to do more to curb plastic pollution, but Wok Inn is like such a nostalgic place to me that it would be cool to see them also try to reduce their waste. Unfortunately, I didn't take any photos, but it was pretty standard. My sister and I are vegan and always order tofu chap-che and orange peel tofu. I wish they had more specific vegetarian/vegan/allergy friendly options stated on the menu. I'm not sure if they cook tofu separately but that sort of thing doesn't really bother me, although I'm always too shy to ask. An ingredient list for all dishes would be really helpful to see if they use egg in noodles, chicken/beef broth etc... Shout out to the staff though they're...
Read moreTerrible customer service. Went when it was dead and the order taker was rude, "what do you want?" Did not have what I came for so I settled for lemon chicken, they gave me sweet and sour chicken. That wasn't what I had ordered after repeating myself 3 times. I tried to give it the benefit of the doubt anyhow and it only took one bite to figure out it was nothing but fried batter. Workers were just standing around and when I went and politely asked for the right dish, everyone just looked at me like I was stupid and didn't want to fix the issue. Even heard the order taker mumble that what I received was "the same thing", which it was not. The lemon chicken is one big piece of lightly battered chicken while what I received was smaller pieces of batter. I immediately requested a refund, I REFUSED to spend $25 on overpriced food and garbage customer service! I hate to be "that customer" and have never had to do this before, but working in customer service myself the entire experience was unacceptable. Both my fiancee and I were incredibly disappointed as we've never had an issue here before. They certainly did not deliver and I won't be returning...
