Isela's Tacos — Restaurant in San Antonio

I was excited when I saw the cheap prices, but they say you get what you pay for. My friend ordered chilaquiles and she asked if they were Mexican with red guajillo sauce like in Mexico and waitress said yes. When she brought them out, it was not the sauce expected and the egg was mixed and no cheese in sight. We called them and told them the problem and a young and older waitress ganged up and said that this is how chilaquiles are made here..that they are made differently in Mexico. My friend said she didn't like it..if she could have something else and was told yes, but she still has to pay for her plate that she did not like and did not eat. Well, no return here...but to be nice, the menudo was good..sorry bad customer service..and no going back. I wish there was a manager we could have spoken to.---PS when I was there I took off my contact lens that was bothering m and put it in case..and when leaving I forgot it on table along with lens solution. When we called. And asked if they could hold the case and lens solution, they told me there was nothing there. I am 100% certain i left it there..they probably threw it away. I tried calling back to same number I had called from..it said that they were not accepting any incoming calls. It all comes down to customer service and accepting critique. Any other restaurant would have offered my friend something else for the plate she didn't like but had to pay for. We still ate..the food was good..but with waitresses like these...you lose. They could not even tell me the name of the owner...they said it might be Antonio...if it is..have a talk with them...ask them...

The taste ok how ever the cashier attitude seems very careless maybe cause we're Hispanic ... ordered nachos and was all mainly corn chips ... I called to complain and the cashier was admitted that she served the nachos which is not true we were watching them .at time we paid we ordered a tea and we had to asked for ten minutes after we paid ,they looked like they had just finished a rush and their prepping was off .Word of advice my Hispanic people check your orders . Shame I won't be returning to this place . Seems they have a preference...

I ordered tacos to go for breakfast & even though they left the bacon out of my bacon w beans & cheese tacos they politely & promptly offered correction by way of coming back in & reordering on the house the next morning. Their refried beans are delightfully tasty & original so make sure you try them because you will not be disappointed. Also on my faves list are their homemade freshly made to order tortillas. Lastly their coffee is well made. The staff is very respectful & service is prompt. Top 5 joints in the city for...
