I was so disappointed. This is a place I like to come n eat spaghetti or pizza but yesterday 2-20-22 . I was disappointed on how I was treated as a customer. I had order my meatball spaghetti n I had my Sauce put to the side ,I like my sauce to the side because I don’t like my spaghetti sauce all smothered where I can’t taste the noodles ,I come from a Italian n Greek family n flavor is very important when cooking Italian food . I had the lunch special so it came with a side salad my salad seemed like there was water underneath because as I was eating the taste seemed watered down. But I didn’t let that bothered me I was looking forward to having spaghetti but I couldn’t finished it so I had more than half of my food left so I wanted to take it home well that didn’t work out,I asked my husband to ask the young guy to gives us a container sauce I pretty much had a lot left over sauce beside the pasta n meatball n my husband comes back n said the young guy said No! I was shock n I told my husband did u tell them I had sauce n he said yes he gave us a large foam box which the sauce will spill over not the right kind of container so I went up myself n he told me no I couldn’t believe what he said it for to go orders I said well what am I’m supposed to do its to go as well but the young guy didn’t even care he brushed me off like no care in the world not good for a restaurant business but I felt treated badly so I left the food . He could of suggested another container but like I said the young guys standing their didn’t care .I was even willing to pay for the container if that wasn’t the case but that’s was not even case . I’m an educator n I couldn’t believe how they didn’t show like they where trying to satisfy the customer . I’m not sure if I will return but if u keep treating people like this u going to lose customers . I really wanted my food to take home but I lost that after he said no . I was so looking forward to having a great lunch n then to experience that afterwards.I moved so this place is not close to me like it was last year n so we had to travel to San Antonio to Alamo Heights restaurant location. It’s hard to find good Italian food especially with this Pandemic that has...

We visited this pizzeria because of Dave Corky's glowing 8.6 review. However, our experience was drastically different, and it felt like they knew he was coming. The pepperoni rolls were cold in the middle, as if they had been reheated from the previous day. The pizza itself was undercooked and lacked the crispiness you'd expect from a well-made pie.

The service was atrocious. I placed an order online to be picked up at 12:15 PM, right after they opened at 12 on Sunday. I wanted to be the first in line, but when I arrived, my food wasn't ready. I saw other customers, who arrived after me, receiving their pizzas while I waited. It was clear that they had plenty of time to prepare my order, yet they failed to do so.

To make matters worse, the pizza was nearly $70. For that price, I expected top-notch quality and service, but instead, I received cold, undercooked food and terrible service. The staff seemed overwhelmed and disorganized, which is unacceptable for a place that aspires to be a top-tier pizzeria. If they can't manage their customer base, they should limit their order intake instead of compromising on quality and service. The overall experience was disappointing and frustrating. What was supposed to be a quick and easy pick-up turned into a long, aggravating wait, only to receive subpar food.

This pizzeria needs to seriously reevaluate its operations. Right now, their product and service are at dumpster fire quality levels. I expected much more based on the review, but instead, I left feeling extremely upset and dissatisfied.

Going to cook it more and provide this so people can see what it’s supposed to look and be like. Last three photos are taking this from after my toaster over cooked them @450 12 mins that’s how under cooked pizzas where coming out. What I think happened today. Nobody showed up early enough to start the oven and get it to temp. Therefore they got busy and stuff in as many pizzas as they could before the oven was ready. The result is dumpster fire pizza! That you have to cook yourself and fix. It becomes good frozen pizza...

As good as the Strom was, two times in a row the pizza has undelivered...the rich, sweet sauce that made the Strom so great was barely existent on the collapsible, dry pizza dough..not a cheese fan really, but those who are would be disappointed...and as a crust-lover, I found it flavorless...overall, a reminder of why I'm not a pizza fan...had some weird slice of whipped cream cinnamon cake...too close to that dreadful Mexican staple that is oddly a favorite if tge entire Texas population but one I abhor--tres leches...oh, well, burn me at the stake...

Gimme cannoli...better yet, a slice of real cake woulda done fine...not cool whip with cinnamon sprinkled throughout...

Oh, I get it now...TIRIMASU!? THANK GOD I'd had my 2nd least favorite excuse for cake (that was whipped cream, not marscapone, right?!?) before...note to self: never let a guy with a pie preference pick the dessert...or the pizza!

And make it in-house, puh-leeze! Otherwise, Kroger has a phenomenal pre-packaged lemon cake so good I'd eat my way back to the 30 lbs I just lost over the summer just for the true butter cream lemon frosting alone!. Ummm, yeah, HEB, it's that fantastico! This trees notchass? nosomuchas...

I'd try that Strom, again, for real, but only if I can ever find a misguided pizza fan willing to depart from a disappointing slice of childhood nostalgia...

My advice? Remember pizza for the overrated memory it has proven to be...

Service? Not sure why they don't just serve it up at a kiaosk and skip the underwhelming attempt at table service...

Family style, friendly atmosphere? Meh! The bar area (aka "the counter") seems great for singles or couples interested in a 3some (compliment)...

Atmosphere gets another boost for the red n white checkboard decor...

PREVIOUSLY...

1st time in to THE BESTJuluan STROMBOLI I've had since the 1980 's...It bothered me not that they'd ran out of ham. The quantity enabled me to dub extra mozzarella and Xtra talian sausage, which is all the classic Itian sandwich really needs...served with fresh, made on-houae marinara sauce, it...

This was the first time we've eaten at Julian's. My son and his fiance were always telling us how great the food was there and so this night they invited us to join them to try it out. We went to the N. New Braunfels location and we initially passed it up. It is located in an old fashioned shopping strip and our gps took us further than it was supposed to, so just a heads up on that. The place is interesting, not huge but not small either. It does offer a few tables outside for some nice out for eating. They had a lot of tv screens and it had a great family atmosphere overall. The food was what we came to try and it did not disappoint. My son ordered the lasagna, his girlfriend ordered the buttery chicken garlic plate. My husband ordered the Margherita pizza and I ordered the Calzone. The prices were not bad and you pay in the front as you place your order. While we were waiting, they brought us some fresh, hot bread to the table while we waited for our food to get there. The fresh bread was amazing, and was a good introduction to what was coming. We were taken back with the generous sizes of our food, and the great service that was provided. The pictures show the portion sizes and until we get smell-a-vision, you'll have to trust me when I tell you it was not just an exaggeration what my son had said about it. I only wish they didn't close so early but that's just me being a little selfish, lol! We look forward to returning soon and trying out some more items from their menu, especially the desserts! My son's girlfriend said the chicken alfredo is the best she's ever had, and she's a foodie, so just an FYI on that. In the end, I give them two thumbs up, but go try them out for yourselves, I'm sure you won't be disappointed!

This took me a few days to get to. I didn't want to post any snap judgments due to a semi rude person who took my order and rang me up when arrived, maybe it was a bad day. Anyway , the ingredients were great. My cheese pizza wasn't extra crispy like I asked, but it was good regardless. The Margarita Pizza didn't have sun dried tomatoes like I was assured when I ordered on the phone, but it still tasted good and thankfully not soggy like other experiences I've had where regular tomatoes were used. It was a bit of a price shock when I received my order. I wish I could've received a heads up on the phone when the order was placed because then maybe I would've rearranged my order. But i asked and was given, and I understood there's no going back at that point of paying. Overall, though, it was better than the other commercial options we sadly have along Austin Hwy, but I don't know if I'll be rushing back after my first experience here in years. Yes, employees and customer service is apart of the experience, and the pizza was great but if I'm going to pay that much I'd minus well get it from the other local around the corner with the crispy pizza and no weirdness. Thank you, though.
