As a confessed carnivore, I wouldn't normally find myself gravitating towards a place called "Kind Burgers." But my quest for the best burger in town led me down Pleasanton Road, and this vegetarian spot definitely caught my eye. Intrigued, I decided to ditch my usual beef patties and give it a try.
Let's start with the Mean Burger. The name is somewhat misleading, and to be honest, the size didn't quite live up to the picture on the menu. It's not exactly "mean" in stature. However, what it lacked in size, it more than made up for in flavor. The combination of ingredients was surprisingly satisfying and definitely held its own.
But the real star of the show was the Bulgogi Fries. Forget your preconceived notions about vegetarian food being bland – these fries were an explosion of flavor. The crispy fries were loaded with a generous helping of creamy queso, savory Bulgogi Impossible meat, a fiery kick of Sriracha, a tangy aioli, and a fresh burst of cilantro. The combination was absolutely delightful and left me craving more. Honestly, these fries alone are worth the trip! While the Mean Burger might need a little tweaking in terms of presentation and "mean-ness," Kind Burgers more than compensated with their innovative and flavorful Bulgogi Fries. This vegetarian spot proved that you don't need meat to pack a serious punch. Even for a dedicated burger enthusiast like myself, Kind Burgers offered a surprising and delicious experience that I wouldn't hesitate to repeat. Definitely recommended, especially for the...
Read moreAmazing comfort food! We risked our lives biking from the Mission Hike and Bike trail to the restaurant and got attacked by a dog, but the food was totally worth it. Their chick’n & waffles dish is so nice, with the best vegan chicken we ever had, a fluffy waffle and fresh fruits. It paired well with their dragonfruit lemonade. Their chickpea tuna sandwich was very well done with great flavours making it a hearty and enjoyable lunch. We ended up ordering takeaway for dinner because we wanted to try more of their food. The sunshine burger had so much going on (bacon, egg, patty) that is was a bit too much and too salty. The cauliflower hash brown on the side was better than expected, it tastes just like potato! The chick’n Caesar salad was tasty and packed with goodies. Plenty of fresh veggies and tasty dressing. The chicken patty on top was the same as with the waffle dish which we were thrilled about. We ordered an extra patty for on the side. Lastly, the Special tacos were very well done! We tried the Asada, the Carnitas, and the Baja taco. They are on the spicy side but the flavours are very well balanced. Overall, a delicious and savory choice! Definitely stop by this cute restaurant to try their dishes, but come by car as the area is a bit sketchy (or...
Read moreFood looked nothing like the pictures on the website/menu. Was very disappointed when the food came out because it was very misleading and lacking compared to the pictures.
Overall food quality was well below average for Vegan Burgers. Burger was very dry, bread, pattie, sauce. Lettuce, tomato and pickles on it were fresh but wasnt enough to make the burger better.
Looking at the pictures I took and the menu pictures right now comparing as I write the review, it looks like I was missing is slice of cheese in there too, not that it would helped food any.
Patty melt was so plain, bread was hard and dry too. Sweet Potato fries were over cooked, tasted very greasy and a bit burnt. Milkshake was also too watery, just tossed it out.
Service wasn't good or bad you order at counter and they bring food to you, can't really mess up that service. But food quality was really bad and price seemed extremely high for what we got.
Will not be...
