Read moreThe online menu has different prices than they actually charge, also says all plates come with pork fried rice. I was really excited to have lunch here, and very disappointed with the food and especially the service! The cashier charged me for a dinner plate and extra sauce because I asked for garlic sauce instead of the mushroom sauce in the beef and mushroom plate. I understand a charge for the change, but $1.50 more? The item was on the LUNCH menu, no need to charge me for a dinner plate. Then I asked for water, which she proceeded to charge me for! Um , keep your water! The owner/manager was kind and fixed the price, but it wasn't until after the cashier ignored us for a very long time after I confronted her about the charges. Customers behind us literally walked out because she left the counter to avoid us. Forward to the food: I was hyped up about it from the menu online and reviews from people I know who have gone there for years. When the food arrived, it looked okay, except the "fried rice" looked like brown rice with peas and carrots. Most definitely NOT the pork fried rice advertised online. The substitute garlic sauce I paid extra for was dumped on top of the beef with mushroom sauce, which left a flat, bitter flavor in my mouth and the food swimming in sauce. Egg rolls are tiny and taste like cheap seasoning is used. Any condiments are an extra charge. Do yourself a favor and skip this joint. The one star can be for cleanliness, everything else is less than...
Read moreVery artificial... meaning cooked with a lot of artificial ingredients and of course overly sweetened with corn syrup. Ordered the sesame chicken and it was seriously too sweet. Rice was made very poorly. But that's mostly what you get with these American Chinese restaurants. When the owners themselves or hire chefs, they don't know the raw techniques to reflect the Chinese flavoring in their food. There it is a tradition to the techniques used and a delicate Balance of flavoring from the fresh spices used to create a wonderful and sometimes fire smokey taste from the hot wok that u need to protect and hand down to future cooks when u are going to cook this type of food. The idea of owners opening up a shop saying "I want to open up a Chinese restaurant" need to know there is more to it than just saying you want to search Chinese food. You don't want your restaurant to do poorly then Savor the Traditions and trchniques used study the techniques and mastering the art itself. U will know ur business is doing good when ur customers can brag about the taste in quality on yelp.. This is a true and honest statement. I am a chef and cook chinese and japanese dishes that i learned from chef masters. And they get so dissapointed when they hear of places using artificial ingredients or half artificial or...
