Lucy's Cake Shop — Restaurant in San Antonio

This is a place that time forgot! Old, dingy, empty shelves, outdated cake decorations, very limited supply, no cookie cutters or anything for cookies, dog treats or even cupcakes. Even Walmart has much more cake supplies to offer unless you want to drive to the Northside cake stores, then you’re better off at Walmart!

I had a horrible experience 19 years ago and I just took a chance before I headed north, and no surprise, once again I was turned off! Oh and the lack of excellent customer service, it’s horrible! These older ladies especially the one with eyeglasses at the front counter, she needs CS training badly and needs to rid of the Southside mentality! When someone walks into you’re store you are supposed to be greeted and acknowledged even if you are with another customer! She never did any! Ghetto service and outdated supplies! Get with the program. I will inform my friends and family to go elsewhere for a cake and classy...

I went in around 15mins before closing and there was no customers in the shop. I started asking questions and the ladies there seemed like I was bothering them. I came in looking for a cake box for a 2 tier cake and the lady guaranteed it would fit in the cake box they gave me and it was for a double layer cake instead of tiered cakes. I also went for other supplies and everything I asked for was greeted with rude responses; Huffing and puffing along with rolling their eyes. Needless to say I won't be going back. I only went because it was highly suggested by my friends and I wanted support a small business rather than a supply chain like hobby lobby. I ordered a cake on Wednesday and was not asked the colors I want or anything as far as being very attentive to me like she didn't care she said streamers and confetti cake and a name I went to pick up the cake and it looked like a 4th of July cake red white and blue pink cake it was to be a 19 year old female and wanted strawberry filling and barley had any filling I was so disappointed in this cake I won't be going back after many years of going it was expensive and I didn't get what i want I hope you guys be very specific on what you want cuz they won't ask you for colors and the filling is not worth it...
