Very clean and modernized atmosphere 10/10. Service started out excellent and decreased very quickly. No condiments or refills were offered & had to remind waiter multiple times about needed condiments. Service was a solid 3/10 Food itself lacks in all areas from presentation to flavor. Sweet tea tastes very bitter I do not recommend. Dinner Roll is hard ( it would be nice to have it soft with some butter on top ) Shrimp is very hard with no flavor. The batter falls off, this establishment lacks when it comes to frying food. The shrimp itself has no real physical form it’s hard to tell what is what. The fish is very watery and greasy with no flavor just thrown in a fryer. The tartar sauce is more of a creamy mayo than anything else ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING. The food was good but just not my flavor profile. I had the 2 fish with shrimp plate. The shrimp was good. The rice was also good. The fried fish was not bad, it just wasn't the kind of taste that I like. I asked the manager what kind of fish it was. She was very honest and said that, they use BASA, which is an accepted foreign substitute fish verses native fish caught off U.S. coastal waters. I think even H.E.B. sells it. Just not my personal liking. I asked for some lemonade to drink since it was fresh squeezed. Again, not bad, just not my kind of taste. I ordered some tea instead, delicious! You would be surprised at how many restaurants do not know how to make a simple glass of ice tea. The service was outstanding. My husband was in management so we always look at customer service and how management and staff interact with their customers and i must say we were very impressed. As soon as we walk in it feels like a red carpet lol everyone turns to you and welcomes you the food was amazing especially the empanadas and rice. Our waitress was amazing i believe her name was wendy she recommended us so many options of appetizers food and drinks. we live down the street so we’re happy that that mambo treats us well. The manager who i didn’t get her name my fault came to our table and everyone’s table i also told her how impressed we were with her location. I hope they keep up the great work and that the staff stays friendly and they stay with the same enthusiasm. Super happy...
