I visited Más Café, and they had a secret syrup today - tamarindo. The owner, Steph, recommended it with either cold brew or lemonade. The lemonade sounded amazing, but I was in the mood for coffee, so I decided to go with the cold brew.
There was a line when I arrived, and due to the high winds, the window was closed. Instead, they were taking orders outside of the trailer. By the time I reached the front of the line, I ordered my cold brew, only to find out they had run out of ice. Steph kindly asked if I minded waiting, as more ice was expected to arrive in about two minutes.
As I waited (not really paying attention to the time, since I was just vibing and listening to an audiobook), I saw one of the employees dash outside to grab a bag of ice from HEB. Steph came out again to apologize, explaining that the ice was on its way but there was a hold-up at the Bandera light (probably due to the crazy wind and stupid drivers). She asked if I wanted a taco while I waited, which was a nice offer, but I declined, letting her know I didn’t mind waiting at all - I wasn’t in a rush.
A few minutes later, the employee returned, breathless from running with the ice. Steph checked in on her, making sure she was okay and offering her water, telling her to take a moment to catch her breath. Once everything was in place, the duo worked quickly to get the orders out.
Finally, Steph handed me my cold brew, apologized once again for the wait, and expressed her appreciation for my patience. She even mentioned that the next time I visit and she’s there, the drink would be on her. While I appreciated the gesture, I honestly didn’t mind the wait. I understand that small business trailers can sometimes face unexpected challenges, and the demand can be higher than anticipated.
In the end, the experience left me genuinely impressed with their customer service and the quality of their drinks. I’m glad I made the tamarindo choice. It was delicious and worth the wait!

Read moreI can’t rave about Mas Café enough! After being a loyal Dunkin’ customer for years, I realized I wanted to support a local coffee spot instead of a chain. That’s when I found Mas Café and I’ve been hooked ever since. The menu is packed with amazing options, but what truly keeps me coming back is the owner, Stephany.
She radiates passion and joy for what she does, and it shows in every interaction. Every time I pull up and see her decked-out Jeep, I know I’m about to have an incredible customer service experience. Stephany is a ray of sunshine and such a genuinely beautiful person, inside and out.
Her menu is just as vibrant as her energy, offering everything from matcha and lattes to cold brew and more. No matter your taste, there’s something here you’ll love and it will always come...
Read moreI’ve been buying coffee religiously from Mas Café for almost 2 years now and prefer this place over Starbucks or any other coffee any day! Steph, the owner always has a smile on her face, she genuinely LOVES what she does. Her staff is amazing too! She constantly is coming up with new coffee inspired ideas, syrups for her cold brews and lattes and so much more. She has different yummy pastries too with new types typically on weekends. If you want amazing coffee with perfect service, Mas Cafe is it! I don’t leave reviews often and wish I’d left one sooner because I rave about this place. If you’re looking for a new San Antonio coffee spot, this is it! Try the Abuelita Latte or the Tres Leches cold brew. You...
