McAlister's Deli — Restaurant in San Antonio

Awful service: at the lunch break spent 30 (!) minutes at the drive-through pick-up line with only 2 cars ahead of me. The food came as expected - cold and nasty. The mod doesn’t manage well (where is the young lady with the cat tattoo? She was quick and very nice). I literally ran out of gas while waited in line.

The 3 time was not a charm.

1st time dine-in: BLT-A was burned, not enough avocado to add to the name “A”, had to ask for napkins a few times and when the dispenser arrived to the table it had only 4 napkins left. Some tables are uneven and shaky. My table was dirty, so as the one next to mine (and the restaurant was empty with plenty of talking to each other employees). Employees were slow and unfriendly. 2nd time: 2,5 hours before closing and they ran out of baked potatoes and not planning to cook more for today. Strange response, especially indicating that this is your menu hit. We left. 3rd time was a take-out: the app didn’t allow me to place an order to pick-up at the window, so I had to select an option to pick inside. When I arrived my order wasn’t ready, only after a few reminders and 10 minutes after the scheduled time I finally received my food (it was my lunch break, so of course every minute is counting). No apologies, nothing to make it right.

And the most annoying this is their music inside the restaurant: they are playing a regular radio station with lots of ads - it’s so unprofessional and distracting.

I like McAlister’s deli but this location needs a serious training on the customer service. Like many other customers mentioned: the service is not friendly...

First timer to this chain and just so disappointed. We love Jason’s Deli and was hoping this could substitute since it’s so much closer. Gave the cashier $25.05 for a 22.05 bill. Was expecting $3 back but was given $2.80. Omg. I tried to explain the simple math but got a deer in the headlights look so had to speak to the manager for a simple transaction. Then I specifically asked if they have pepperoni pizzas and the cashier said they can add the pepperoni. Come to find out when I get home and speak to the manager they don’t have pepperoni and have never had pepperoni. Omg. Then I ordered the spud and specifically asked if they still have potatoes because I know some places run out. Cashier said yes and I ordered an Angus spud. Come to find when I get home it’s a sandwich instead. I went over everything with the manager and they were nice to give us meals for the trouble but honestly I will not be going back anytime soon. The food quality was lacking as well. potato soup was extremely watery. I guess when you order potato soup you expect a thicker soup. The sandwich that I didn’t order was tossed in the box and falling apart and the bread was really dry. The macaroni looked like playdo. When you took it out it kept its shape haha. The potato salad was good but I doubt thats made in house. Check your receipts and when you order make sure you have them read it back to you and have them explain what is included in those items they rung up...

I came here because a co-worker of mine walked in the office with a soup and sandwich. The location is near my work so I decided to give it a try. This is a fairly new location so I expected better. I walked in and it looked cleaned so l ordered. I went to wash my hands, before I opened the door I could smell urine. I immediately thought, the floor isn't clean...I was right.then I saw the toilet and then the sink. Horrible. After carefully washing my hands, I head to a table. I chose the table with the least amount of water rings and crumbs…the entire side was full of dirty tables, including the seats. I observed the workers and noticed neither one really cared about the cleanliness. They would go to the tables after a customer left and pick up plates; No wipe down or sanitation. I could see 3 employees standing behind the counter on their phones, having drinks and not really caring about sanitizing. I would think with covid, there would be some sort of sanitation procedures happening. If they don't uphold a standard of cleaning, I can only imagine how the kitchen looks. I definitely...
