I've been to this location a handful of times...i never expect stellar service since covid...no big deal. Ive just noticed waiters/waitress dont give a f and just expect a tip. Its their livelihood...im a decent tipper. As long as you check in once in a while, keep my water filled (even just for the most part) im ok. Service positions suck. I'm not a high maintenance individual when it comes to service from a waitstaff but today was one of the worst experiences I've ever had. I won't be returning due to this particular day and experience. Here's a recap of my service.. We went in around 330pm on a Saturday. We were seated promptly by the hostess. Fyi the "Manager" needs to reassess what is "acceptable attire for a hostess" they were all dressed inappropriately as asian fetish high school students. A black button down and slacks should be the standard/expection...its common sense. Maybe they were told to dress like that idk...but unprofessional...plus they had to be high-school students at best... I could let that go but had to mention due to my overall experience...
We waited over 20 min to be addressed by our waiter with a 1/4 filled resturant... we almost got up and left.
I had hoped after we were addressed they it would start to take a turn for the better. And it almost did.
We waited another 10 min for just water which was brought to just one of us...common sense and per previous experiences all parties get water...and our drinks.
She then took our appetizer order and main course which came out in a timely manner. The food was as expected for stonewerks so no complaints there.
Our waitress checked in twice as we were eating but the check ins were so spaced out. We were eventually waiting for her to do one more check in so we could pay and get boxes for our food.
We waited 30 plus minutes until we finally saw her and were able to waive her down finally! She passed by our table and never checked in multipe times. She was going to skip over our table again after checking on her other tabels had we not waived her down.
Honestly it seemed most (not all) of the wait staff seemed more preoccupied with screwing off at the back vs. Serving anyone...again we weren't expecting any stellar service. Just bare minumum...
I has enough and asked my husband to handle the tip. I was infuriated and was borderline not going to leave one (horrible I know).
Honestly I think the waitress was high and or on drugs with how exacerbated she seemed with such a small amount of people to serve.
We will never go back to this location and i wont besurprised when it closes due to the management and quality of its surrounding and superior...
Read moreEdit on 4/10/2021 Aaron S. (Director of Operations), reached out to me to apologize for our experience. While it doesn't change how my birthday dinner, I always respect anyone that tries to make things right and acknowledge when things don't go well. That alone makes up three stars and I will be going back to try Stone Werks again. Thank you Aaron for reading my review and caring about the customer experience.
Original One Star Review Below The wait for a table was about 40 minutes for a party of 8. As I understood it there was a party hovering and they didn't want to overburden the cooks in the back. Not really an issue but I want to be as transparent as possible in the review.
Once seated 3 people in our party were not asked for their drink order and were delivered waters. It was fixed on the second go around when the initial drinks were delivered. Mistakes happen, it was fixed, no problem.
We ordered our food and it took about 40 minutes to receive it, one plate had to be sent back due to concern of pink chicken. Another plate never made it to the table, a server dropped the food on the way to the table and wasn't delivered to the table until everyone else was pretty much done eating. To top it off, only half the meal was delivered and we still had to wait for the rest. It's understandable that things happen, but the burger took way too long to be remade.
After all of this I asked for a courtesy adjustment, the food took too long and there was an issue with two plates. I did not push the problems but politely requested there be some kind of accommodation for our experience for a $200~ (tip included) bill.
We received a $1.40 adjustment for the trouble; while I realize I'm not entitled to anything and that things happen, the subpar experience combined with such a small discount made us feel like we didn't even matter as customers. I would have preferred no adjustment instead of what amounts to not even a soda in refund, like adding insult to injury.
I would not recommend Stonewerks for hospitality or prompt service. However, the food itself was fairly good, I can't speak for the rest of my party but my meal was delicious. I also appreciated that when one our masks broke they offered one to replace it.
I waited a day to review and think on it to write it as fair a review as possible. Hopefully your experience goes better than ours should you...
