On my receipt, I had the opportunity to send feedback to the staff of this McDonald's. Here's what I wrote:
I worked at a McDonald's for four years through high school and college, so I'm relatively familiar with what a "good" McDonald's experience should be. If I ran my McDonald's at the standard this one operated at, I'd have gotten at least a write-up.
I ordered just a basket of fries and a Sprite, and waited for twelve minutes. This would be understandable in a rush setting, but I was the only order on both the drive-thru and dine-in screens at the time my order was placed. Several orders came in after mine, most of which included fries, and were sent out the door before mine, despite the stated reason for the delay being "waiting on fresh fries."
I also watched the gentleman stationed on fries significantly overload two baskets of fries before putting them into the fryer. I was always trained to only load a basket about 3/4 of the way, because fries expand when the oil and heat gets into them. This gentleman loaded the baskets not only completely, but over the top. When this happens, individual fries stick together and don't get properly fried. Fries near the top also can't submerge in the oil, and end up coming out extremely undercooked.
I was also shocked at the state of the lobby. The lobby itself looked as though it hadn't been cleaned in days. Every single table was stained, covered in sauces in trash, or otherwise unusable. Chairs not chained to the ground were strewn everywhere. The trash was also overflowing, and the soda machine was completely out of ice. The soda was also mixed improperly. When I asked the staff if I could help the lobby they seemed offended and declined.
I understand that, oftentimes, McDonald's restaurants are understaffed and their staff is underpaid. This lowers the standard for sure, but as a customer I should at least know my food will be cooked, my table will be reasonably clean, and that I can be in and out in less than half an hour. I strongly suggest a round of retraining for the...
Read moreEvery since first giving into my kids insatiable need for the almighty McNuggets, this location has unfortunately been severely understaffed. It's for sure in part due to the lack of people wanting to work thanks to all the hand outs and national hysteria.... But with that said this place is always at least 10 deep in the drive thru. I can't imagine they are lacking funds to hire more people with the foot traffic they receive 24/7, so I'm guessing their recruiter needs to be replaced. Great location, geographically speaking, with plenty of McNuggets gobblers in the immediate vicinity. The fresh crop of COVID Boomers at the ready to replace the ones aging out, seems to me a license to print cash at this point. And yet they just can't figure out how to get me through the line by the 1 hour mark at dinner time. Yes that is the mean wait time based of the last 10 times I've endured the snail's journey to staving off the ample appetites of the littles. Of course I know not the situation, behind the scenes and this specific burger joint. And yes I'll continue to give in to the inconvenience of Mr Ronald and his many hungry ankle bitters out there, hard being a single Dad, but it's worth the rest after long day not to have to, every once in a while, make dinner, clean up after, make sure their homework is done, they are bathed and have a clean outfit for the morning... Well at least one thing is take care of. In summary be ready to wait. Suggest you have a snack before hand and don't have to use the facilities before you embark on the quest for the minced, deep fried, hardly nutritious, lump of battered poultry parts and a...
Read moreI waited in line for 10 minutes with no cashier attending, so I used the self-order screen, which took an additional 18 minutes. The fountain machine was incomplete with no drinks or ice. Sep 2004 since I can't make a new review I'll add that this is going to be my last time.to visit this branch because the awful service and because they again keep the floors dirty and grease. They assume by setting the prevention signs it's going to resolve the problem. The floor it's extremely grease and a male person felt down very badly. I call several times to anybody at the kitchen since nobody attend the desk. They just ignored me and finally a mad young employee came and I told her that somebody felt down and she was looking at me like ... so? With her bad attitude face. The I said to her this person felt down because your floor is not clean. I can't even help him because I felt the slippery and i was afraid felt down too. Then she told me in a rude manner; why you talking to me like that? Then I said because I told u 3 times what happening and you see me as you Don't understand at all and now you're pretending to be a victim and you don't react. Then I ask her to tell the manager. She just get inside the kitchen and told "somebody" they never show up at all and they continue in they're main attitude.. ignore everybody outside and making the orders. If you guys will not attend the people then just reduce the service by attend as a drive thru only...
