La Jalisco Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in San Antonio

I always go here, and the waitress are pretty good here. I feel comfortable with their service and as well as their food they serve. They know who I am cuz I always come here. A couple of months ago I went to their drive thru & I ordered 11 Tacos & Tea. So, when I got to the window 4 them to collect my debit card🙃. She told me the amount, right? Well, I was giving her my card & she said Oh, you don't have cash. I said, No..sorry I don't! I never carry cash anymore! I said, why? She said our machine is down. I said, oh, man are you serious? Ok, well its okay I'll get the money from the ATM. I'll be right back. She said, no, no its okay go ahead and take the food. I said, Wow are you sure?😯 She said, yes.. I said,Thank you! But, I told her you know what? Let me go home eat this breakfast because my sugars are low I would need to eat first & I'll come back & pay the cost Of the breakfast. She smiles & said really you'll come back & pay for the food? I said, yes. I definitely will. She kept that little yellow ticket 🎟 💛 and I left. After, I finished eating with me & my kids. I went back with cash 💸 and went inside & paid for my meal. She was so happy I went back. You could see this relief on her face. With the Covid going on and our businesses hurting too. Especially, small businesses I still wanted to help do my part & pay for my Family meal. So, these businesses won't loose out. They still have to pay for their expenses towards their business & Employees. But, I thank God for His blessing & teaching me to turn a blessing to their blessing instead. I could of said, Oh, wow thank you & taken the food & left, but at that moment my spirit started following the holy ghost & I felt in my spirit God was showing me a life experience lesson & if I was being tested & graded. But, I passed..lol 😆 its not until after all this took place & I after I gave the girl a $5.00 tip that everything was how God wanted to go. For whatever reasons God had I trusted God even when it doesn't make sense to me sometimes. But after I paid and gave that tip. Her face was priceless when she saw me there waiting to pay for that tons of tacos I took. Especially when I gave her that tip. In return it made me feel good that she took a chance to trust me,and takes my word that I would come back. To me it was verbally a contract & a promise that I would come back & pay. Verbally can always be broken and empty promises are made easily by people. But, I tell you one thing people. God records EVERYTHING in your Book of Life. God knows if you have a good heart or an evil heart. Whether you believe or not thats your call or will. You will find out when you face God, but always do the right thing & don't take advantage of what you think can be a blessing. Because it usually isn't & it can be a test from the Father above. THIS PLACE USED TO BE GREAT. NOW, THEY'RE ACTING LIKE CORRECTING A WRONG ORDER IS NOT ON THEM AND THEY CANT BE BOTHERED. I ordered migas BY ITSELF (no tortillas of any kind, no beans or rice or anything else) and just as salad! Now, it might have been awhile since I came here, but I have recently found out I have some serious health conditions and unfortunately the only places around me are mexican (I love mexican, but lets face it, theres alot of grease and other nonhealthy items) I come to pick up my prder ALMOST $10 only to get everything I DID NOT WANT. Papas, tortilla chips and refried beans? The salad did not even look like it had TOMATOES. JUST LETTUCE?! It was THE MOST UNHEALTIEST THING EVER. And they had the nerve to say that they cant change their menu or make specific orders, YOUR RESTAURANT DOES THAT ALL THE TIME! YOU SPECIALIZE ORDERS. And the sad thing is, even though I explained over the phone exactly what I wanted before I got there, they DIDNT BOTHER to tell me they could NOT agree to the changes to my order, they did NOT BOTHER to say the PRICE of the ORDER and I trusted them to do it right the first time! I paid and got nothing what I asked for!!!! Im on a speciaiized diet where if I dont eat more healthier I could literally die, and get worse in my health. I dont want anyone saying MIGAS IS SUPPOSED TO BE THAT WAY. NO, IT'S NOT. Migas is made differently in each restaurant and can include or exclude certain items! And before someone says YOU SHOULD HAVE KNOW HOW THEY DO IT THERE. LET ME REITERATE, I havent been there in a while and when we would go, I would never see migas like that. And I dont wanna hear WELL MAYBE THEY CHANGED THEIR MENU. YEAH, well MAYBE, they should have TOLD ME NO OVER THE PHONE instead of WASTING MY TIME AND MONEY! I went on Christmas day if they can't handle them being busy they shouldn't open. I waited for an hour we were only given the drinks so we left and they still charged us for the drinks. Their not used to being busy the only reason they were busy because all other restraunts were closed. Their usually slow big times I've never liked it but my daughter wanted to go and I told her now you know why I don't like it aside from them being slow the food you ask for tacos you get a spit of beans and cheese or meet. I wouldn't give them 1 star but if you don't you can't post it because it wont let you. That's how pity they are charging you for drinks when you get bad service other restraunts tell you no you don't have to pay and they apologize and even give you a discount because of their bad service but this place doesn't care and their very pity. I told my daughter next time listen to me thats why I go to some other restraunts because they care about their customers and how they do. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE.
