Oishi Japanese Hibachi & Ramen — Restaurant in San Antonio

They’re pretty new, so give them a chance & a try! I really hope y’all take the time read my review! We went for a date night while visiting & it was the best food we’ve had in a while! I usually make my own “gourmet” ramen at home because we have little options. We ordered edamame & the gyoza. Which were both yummy! Then I had the kani salad & the miso soup that came with my husbands meal. The kani salad was so refreshing & flavorful! I drank a lychee milk tea with tapioca & jellies, which of course, did not disappoint. I had to taste the spicy tuna sushi taco roll? I’m not exactly sure the name. But it was just as good as I thought it’d be. Ate the whole thing in about 3 bites. Finally- the ramen… Let me just say- order it. Order the ramen. I had the tonkatsu broth ramen with pork. The pictures don’t do justice. But I also ordered a spice bomb on the side so I was able to add as much as I wanted. Also, yes, I did eat all this food. I am indeed a foodie. My husband got the hibachi chicken & he spoke very highly of it. He’s kind of particular with his food but he just about finished his whole plate! The service was so nice! Pretty quick too! The food and service was so great! My husband and I have been in SA for 3 days eating downtown on the river walk and we’re frustrated with the mediocre quality of the food and the price gouging, so we googled “San Antonio restaurants suburbs” and this option came up! It’s about 20 minutes from the downtown area (where you DONT have to pay for parking!) with innovative food dishes such as a sushi taco! They don’t have traditional hibachi grills where they cook in front of you (which is what I was expecting) but the food is delicious; reasonably priced, and the service was the best service I’ve had in a long time! This is also locally owned which is great if you want to support small businesses! They also offer a drive thru and takeout option.

Me and my partner just on a whim came across this place and decided to have a cute spotaneous date at a place we've never tried during his lunch break. Come to find out this beautiful place has just opened!

I just had the side oishi salad that came with my hibachi and OMG I'm a little embarrassed at how fast , and clean I left my plate. My partner was giving me side eye. My partner is the type of guy to get his burgers plain and doesn't care for any kind of vegetables, but i told him he just had to try the salad and Even he was impressed.
