Pepe's Tacos N Salsa — Restaurant in San Antonio

Well this review is a long time coming. I have to say I'm more than just disappointed. I'm furious!!! There's a reason why they are not busy like they used to be. Their terrible. I ask for bacon Egg and cheese taco made fresh. I came almost at 11 o'clock. I don't want cold eggs. If I wanted that I could do it at home. Brenda was the one who was at the front when she took my order. I specifically asked him to make it fresh. Including the bacon, the bacon needs to be made on the griddle and cooked with the eggs fresh like I asked. I don't mind tipping them. I don't mind them charging me what they did for my tacos, but I am not okay with having paid for that and they gave me exactly the opposite of what I asked for and it was a deliberate act on their part. They did this to me numerous times before which is the reason I stopped coming here.I have never seen this place this dead.They will soon be out of business She and they had a chance to make it right before I left the building and they did nothing. Even Brenda admitted it was not made fresh. Do you realize what time they start making eggs and bacon for breakfast? They open early. I don't want eggs sitting there. My taco was cold, the eggs were cold. The bacon was recooked and it was so hard it almost broke my tooth. Save your money and go elsewhere. This place is horrible.

UPDATE: I got home thinking I could heat these tacos up and make them slightly edible. But I was wrong. They're absolutely...

As far as the food goes, it's pretty good. It's always been fast and convenient. The salsa bar is pretty awesome and very tasty. However, the cashier at the front has never been exceptionally polite, in fact she's been just rude each and every time, and the food as been wrong every time I've gone. The first time I didnt mind. I asked for chicken in the street tacos and the person I was with asked for steak. We both got steak. Not a big deal at all, and easy to overlook. The next time, we asked for two drinks and the cashier didn't hear us or just forgot to ring them in. i ordered two pastor tacos and get one bean and cheese and one with chicken. Again, i didn't complain really because they seemed busy. But my guy wanted the street taco plate and they didn't bring the rice and beans or the guacamole. When he brought it up, they quickly fixed it though. This last time, we got an order to go, and ordered the street taco plates. They only gave us tacos and didn't wrap it well. All the meat was in the bottom of the bag. The food is good, but the service is piss poor and we won't be giving it...

We have been here a couple times now and so far every experience has been great! Today I took my mom for breakfast...I order the crispy taco plate ...it comes with 3 crispy tacos and I picked chicken for my meat....it also has rice and refried beans with ur choice of guacamole or queso...I got the queso...the tacos are nice and crispy with juice chicken...the rice and beans are some of the best I've had in San Antonio....my mom ordered the tamales...she got three Al a carte ....they were dry,over cooked ,and a bit to spicy for her....she took them back and they replaced it with something else no problem....she got a chorizo and egg taco with an extra tortilla....she was able to make a second taco with how much they put in just one taco....she loved it and said it was great...the workers there are all very friendly and very professional....they have a salsa bar too which is a great touch.....very clean and inviting as well...we will definitely be back and since it's so close to home we plan on being regulars......
