I wasn’t impressed, and we love Indian food. Firstly, the food is overpriced for the quantity you get. My grilled chicken dish called Chicken Tikka was expensive at 16 for what it comes with and was very good, but they only gave me a small Chutney that doesn’t cover all the dry chicken on the plate. I asked for a second one, and he kindly gave it to me. Still, without enough Green Chutney, I wouldn’t have liked it alone. It sits on a minimal bed of cabbage and one thin sliver of onions. In my opinion, it needs more cabbage and onions to have something to bite with the chicken as a real side of veggies or should have its side of rice or both. Otherwise, it’s not worth the price. The Butter Chicken are 15 and come with rice. I think they’re a little pricey, but Indian food is pricey, but I rather have buffet for the price than this small amounts. The bread was not flavorful as it is at other Indian Restaurants. The desserts are over priced. Do not get them. The Gulab Jamuns were horrible. I love these at other Indian Restaurants. First, I was upset they only brought two small ones and charged me 6.00. Then, I realized how bad they tasted here, that I was okay not having more. I just didn’t want to pay that inflated price for something not worth it. They didn’t taste fresh. The Rice Kheer cup was tiny, and they still charged 6.00 for it. Trust me. If you want Rice Kheer or Gulab Jamuns, don’t get them here. I make better rice pudding than that. Anyone can. They are overpriced and not the best versions. I have gone to India Oven and India Palace, and they give you more for your money. The Gulab Jamuns come in a larger platter with more and tastier and have cool whip from what I remember. Those other Indian restaurants give you more Rice Kheer and tastier for the price as well. One of the restrooms of two were dirty also. My daughters and I were disgusted to say the least. We will not be returning now that we tried it. Our server was nice. I can’t complain about his service. Also, they were nice enough to bring water bottles for free. I think for a family like us who doesn’t like soda and doesn’t drink it, it’s nice they gave us bottled water. The food we ordered has good seasoning. I wouldn’t say it is bad. It is definitely edible. I just feel the pricing deserves a little more, maybe fried rice with the plates or free bread. I wasn’t convinced I should pay what I did for what I got, and that’s...
Read morePLEASE DO NOT COME HERE, unless you want to give your money to a rude, aggressive, disrespectful owner and wait over an hour for your food just for them to get your order wrong.
I wish ZERO STARS was an option because one star is way more than this place deserves. Last night I ordered food to go and was told it would take about 20 mins or so. Multiple times I was told that my food would be ready within 10 minutes, which was simply a lie. I saw multiple customers order after me and receive their food before me as well as large parties get seated, eat, and leave all within the time I was waiting. It took over an hour for me to receive my food. I was not the only one that experienced this, multiple other customers were waiting with me with all of us being fed lies that our food was coming soon. When I finally received my food it was sloppily thrown around in the bag with most everything sideways or upside down.
To add insult to injury, when I finally got home to eat my food I found that this place had not given us an entire entree, rice, and had messed up the naan order. I called the place multiple times but they refused to answer. As it was close to closing time I had to wait until the morning to rectify this situation.
The next morning I brought back my food and was met by the owner who was extremely rude, aggressive, and disrespectful. He yelled at me and was combative. He refused to refund my food even though he admitted the order was wrong. He took zero responsibility for the mistakes made by his restaurant. He also excused the long wait time I experienced, telling me that if you have to wait 1, 2, or 3 hours then that’s just what it is. I have never experienced an owner as rude as this one. PLEASE DO NOT GIVE THIS BUSINESS YOUR MONEY. They do not care about...
Read moreFell for the high review trap! Disappointed. First time there and we drove an hour to celebrate my bday. We went there because the reviews were surprisingly high and there were so many. Well, the place was literally empty. It was pretty clean but no music, no ambiance. The two gentlemen there were too attentive because the main guy kept asking us if the food was good. The masala lacked flavor but what do I say? The guy is asking me as I eat. This happened a few times and my family felt like we were just being watched so we packed up and left after a few bites. That’s when the host/waiter came over with his phone and asked me to do a review. I said I have google and he’s asking me to scan the qr code on his phone to do it right then and there. Super awkward. Then the main guy, maybe the owner, comes over and offers us free pudding which was like soggy arroz con leche and he asks us to do a review. I said I already did one. Then he asked my 11 year old daughter to do one on her phone which was inappropriate. I said, I don’t allow the kids to have phones at the table. We left and don’t plan to go back. The bill with tip (cause we are too nice) was $120. I find that ridiculous when all we had was 1 samosa each (4), butter masala and garlic nan for 3 and some chicken and rice meal for my daughter. We also did mango lassi which was a warm room temperature smoothie. $30 a person for bland Indian food in a dark shopping strip mall? Yeah, not again. I regret this choice and hate being honest about it but I feel deceived by all the reviews this time. I think maybe a lot of us felt pressured into the reviews and when multiple people are asked to do them at your table that just adds to the pressure and feeling of obligation. No one wants to be rude but I do want...
