As a first-timer customer, I'm totally turned off by this place. I placed an order online. It said my order was ready for pick up at 9:26. So I rush to get there to make sure I get it hot. The parking lot is full, and I have to drive around a few times before getting a spot. Their website clearly states.. "pick up with cashier". So I go in & wait in line for the cashier, just to be told to go pick it up at the counter. I go to the counter, give them my name and order number. Wait another 20min and nothing. At this point I've waited about 30min. So I go to the cashier to ask for a refund. He tells me that I can't have a refund since I paid online. So he goes and gets his non english speaking manager to come tell me the same thing. Tells me it's not his fault that I ordered online and that I would have to call the online number. So, at this point, I'm upset. You give me a time when it's ready.. that you missed. You tell me to go pick it up at the cashier.. which was wrong and a waste of my time, then you want to make it my fault that I want a refund. I can't stand places like this. If my food isn't ready, then don't tell me it is. Don't waste your customer's time. People are busy, we place online orders for a reason. If you can't meet those times then don't tell us you can. As for the food.. I was so turned off that I lost my appetite. Only ate one taco, and the rest stayed in the bag on the counter and trashed the next day.
Edit: to the owner who replied to this comment asking me to respond to "make things right". No thanks, I was there long enough to see how you guys run. Besides my inconveniences, it's obvious that you guys don't care about your customer's time. Your lot is tiny, you have 1 cashier, and I think only 2 registers. You had a dozen customers standing around waiting for food or to order. I drove around for 5 min, and all the time I spent inside, I still came out and saw the same cars in the drive thru. You had one guy working his behind off packing food and getting things ready. You had one lady serving that food to people. You guys are obviously popular, but you're too greedy to hire more staff to accommodate your customers. And this was 9:30pm on a Wed. I can't imagine how it is during rush hour. Go "make things right" for your customers & employees and hire more people
Edit: almost a year has passed since this review. i decided to give this place another try and ordered at the drive thru since there was only 1 other car in line. It took FOREVER to get my order and they forgot my flan. There was about a dozen cars in back of me so i didn't want to get back in line so i went and parked and went inside. OMFG!! I tried explaining to the lady the issue. She did not speak a lick of english. I had the reciept with me and pointed to it and kept telling her "no flan". Is it really that hard to understand? After standing there about 3min with her i just gave up, accepted the loss and walked out because it brought back memories of my last horror...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI wish I could give 0 stars. This was an awful experience. I ordered for my staff at the hospital I work at and spent over a $100 but did not get half of our tacos. We also found hair in our tacos. When we called to let them know, they were very rude. The manager Juan at this medical drive location told us that we could get a refund for the tacos if we brought all the tacos back to the restaurant. When I was finally able to get a break from work to go to the restaurant he said I was too late to get a refund on anything. He then changed his mind multiple times and said it was not policy to refund but he can do āus a favorā and we can get credit. It would have been fine but after seeing the hair and also seeing how everyone wore the same gloves to clean and touch things and then touch our food was gross. They did not have good customer service and were very mean. Juan also insinuated that we had put the hair in the taco because everyone wears hair nets and that the driver probably took the tacos. I added a picture of the taco with the hairs. The things he was telling us didnāt match up and to even treat us or talk to us the way he did was not ok. It just wasnāt in favor of the customer and it seemed as if they didnāt really seem to care about the inconvenience. So just be careful if you plan...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy wife and I tried this Taco Palenque for the first time for dinner. As I was walking in I saw the health department had given the restaurant a score of A/90. Once inside there was music playing a little bit louder than what's comfortable and there was a child screaming. As I was ordering an employee was walking from the back eating his food! Gross. Food fell from the employee's plate onto an already dirty kitchen floor as he was walking out of the kitchen. I decided to try the sweet tea and you could taste that the tea urn hadn't been cleaned for days. It took us a minute to find a table because several of the tables had not been wiped down. Our food was brought out relatively quickly but I thought it was the wrong order when I saw it. I had ordered a quesadilla but was given two mostly tortilla and cheese flat tacos dripping with grease wrapped in aluminum foil with a sprinkle of beef inside. My wife got beef street tacos and the corn tortillas were tough. The condiment bar was again not wiped down. Just out of work and hungry we still decided on trying the food. All the food that we did eat was lacking flavor. I usually don't write reviews but our experience just wasn't good. We gave the restaurant a shot but that will be the last time...
