If I could give this place zero stars I would. On 8/9/2022 I decided to try this place out, it was also my first time/experience here. After my dentist appointment I choose to try out El Patron, I ordered the parrillada plate via drive-thru. The lady seemed like she couldn’t understand me & asked me to pull forward to the window. There was a young guy at the window, I confirmed my order with him and paid for my food. Then a lady who doesn’t speak English came to the window and asked me what I was waiting on, I told her my food. Then she comes back and tells me the parrillada plate doesn’t cost $19.99 it cost $24.99. I told her it says on their drive-thru menu 1 pound of fajita meat/sausage, the parrillada plate cost $19.99. She grabs the manager and the manager tells me the same thing that their prices just changed and they will honor the $19.99 price but going forward the parrillada plate cost $24.99. So then I’m waiting for my food and the lady who doesn’t speak English comes back and tells me I need to pay the difference for the $24.99. I told her the manager just told me she would honor it, I then tell her Nevermind to go ahead and refund me my money because I don’t understand what their problem is with getting this right. Then the young guy comes back to the window I hand him my card & receipt and ask him to refund me. He tells me he’s sorry about everything and refunds me my money, he’s the only person that apologized to me. I didn’t make the price up, it doesn’t say the parrillada plate only cost $19.99 on weekends only or between a certain time frame. If the price changed then management needs to update their menus, not my problem. It’s sad that El Patron would rather lose a sale, a customer, & get a bad review than to do the right thing and honor the price. I was very patient with the staff, the food was for my husband and I We both had not had any food for the day because were busy dealing with a newborn baby. I had to go home empty handed and wasted my time. Again this is worst experience I’ve ever had at a food establishment and I really hope management reads this and coaches...

Went there on a whim this past Saturday after dropping off my truck at Pep boys. I walked in and behind me was an elder gentleman. I sat down first. Server goes directly to him and serves him water and a menu. I wait. Another 3 tables show up. She comes back, I order an ice tea and a menu. She serves the first table his meal. I got my menu and as I wanted to order, she walks away. She comes back I order my meal...she then comes back and provides the other 3 tables their meals. I wait for my meal...10 minutes later, I had enough. After waiting over 15 minutes, I get up, go to the front and give both of the waiteresses my throughts on their service. NOT ONCE did they apologize. They looked at me and said nothing. The management should be aware of their waiteresses not giving a hoot about their customers. So...

I go to eat breakfast at this restaurant every day.

It is next to where the old AutoZone on Bandera used to be.

The wait staff is very nice, friendly, and attentive.

The food is great.

I have tried corn and flour tortillas, and they are both great, so bothy choices are excellent.

The bean and cheese tacos are very good.

The food is really great.

My favorite breakfast food at the restaurant is Huevos Rancheros, the sauce is delicious, and the coffee is excellent.

If something is not right, they make it right and implement changes as needed immediately.

The pancakes are also one of my favorite breakfast foods there.

My friend's eat the breakfast tacos daily.

The restaurant has all of the standard varieties of tacos.

So there is something for everyone.

They also have...

We like a restaurant that shows effort in presentation and interior design as well as good cooking and customer service. Arches and brick columns transport me virtually to anywhere in Mexico. The restaurant atmosphere seems to conduce to conversation while enjoying tasty food. I want to comment that after finding an error in our order, it was corrected promptly and in a friendly manner. Most definitely we will come back to try other items in the menu. It’s also attractive to see that there is some merchandise original from Mexico, and a variety of items that could be purchased here.

got 2 bacon and eggs tacos to go. Price was reasonable. Staff was friendly. Took 10 minutes for the tacos, the bacon was chopped up and mixed in the the eggs; looks to be made to order and not pre-made. The tortilla was greasy though, as if they were cook on the area where the eggs and bacon were cooked and ended up soaking up all the left over oil. 3 star- price and staff were good, food made fresh, but tortilla were greasy. and they forgot the condiments(salsa) and paper towels in the to go order, took too long to make 2 tacos.

Went in to try the Puffy Tacos and was very pleased with the whole lunch. Sliced avocado instead of guac in r puffy with lettuce and tomato on the side! I had the Numero 14, two cheese enchiladas, carne guisada, guacamole salad with rice and beans. Loved it all! Only downside is that they don't have a liquor license for margaritas or beer. Service was great and the ladies in the kitchen were cooking up some good carne guisada and tortillas amigos! Looking forward to our next visit.
