Decided to give them try because 1) it’s close to my house, 2) my usual spot is closed in Sunday, and 3) they had a great health inspection score when I looked them up. BUT wouldn’t get food here again. Ordered chilaquiles plate that came with beans and potatoes; the chilaquiles themselves were good, the beans were okay, the papas were pale and looked like they’d been sitting around for a while. My husband ordered 3 beef fajita tacos, they come mixed with onion and bell pepper, the meat is chopped up finely. They smelled and looked good but the ratio of meat to onion/peppers is 50/50. We realized this when we tried to pick out some meat to let our dog have a taste (hey she loves tacos too). Lastly ordered a couple of bean and cheese tacos and a potato & egg taco to eat later or the next morning, these were just sad looking. Skimpy filling, a breakfast taco from TCs probably has more filling than these. I know prices rising and restaurants have to make decisions on whether to use shrink-flation or raise prices, if that’s the case here just charge me a little more and give me more food! Wasn’t a fan, was really hoping we’d like...
Read moreI really love their food, however...I ordered two lunch specials today. When I drive up to the window the woman asks me if I want the tea to go (I am in the drive thru!) because if I do, it will cost me an additional charge for the cups. I said," The sign says that the lunch special comes with tea and she answers, " Yes, but we charge extra for the cups because we don't make that much on the lunch specials. I said," Well then charge me for the cups because I can't drink two teas at the window and you can't hand me the teas without cups."This irritated me greatly. It is not the amount of money it is the fact that the the drive thru menu states that for $6.25, you get tea and two tortillas with your lunch special. I think everyone would conclude that that comes with a cup. Again it is not the amount of the money for the "extra" cups. It is the principle of the matter. If you are going to charge a certain amount for certain items listed on your sign, then when one gets to the drive up window that price should not change if you are only getting what it says is included...
Read moreThese were the most disappointing chilaquile tacos I've ever had in my life. The eggs, prepared as scrambled egg put into a cold tortilla. The onions, tomatoes, and chiles weren't cooked at all. Raw vegetables in my breakfast taco. Why. The corn chips inside were dry little precut squares that looked like they just came out of a bag. The salsa tasted like Old El Paso taco sauce from a packet. Nothing against old El Paso taco sauce but not on my chilaquiles please. And the last straw was that because these ingredients were thrown together cold, the cheese wasn't melted at all. Cold cheese yall. It was just the opposite of everything it's supposed to be. As a chilaquile taco enthusiast, Taco Rico...
