Taqueria Vallarta # 1 — Restaurant in San Antonio

I'll give it one star because the food is alright when they actually pay attention to what they’re cooking. I have been coming here for years and I have finally had enough. I have to check my order every time because they constantly mess it up. Everything from raw eggs on my chilaquiles to half empy mini tacos. I purchased an order of mini tacos with avocado. And when I got home noticed that only avocado was in my tacos no meat. Went back at drive thru girl told me it was my fault. Not just today but every time I take the food back it ends up being my fault. They never take any responsibility or apologize. Employees have the worst attitude. I don't know if management has changed, but they definitely have no customer service skills. I've had enough. I'm taking my money to Santos down the street on castroville Rd. The bean and cheese tacos used to be awesome, but know they taste sour. Like they kept the beans for too long. This place just keeps going down the drain. Their prices have gone up after Covid, but their customer service has not improved. I decided to give it another chance today and the girl at the drive thru window asked me what my order was because she forgot. She only had two cars and couldn’t get my order right. After she closed the window to run my card she turned and told the other girl that it’s wasn’t her fault if I was in a bad mood. She wasn’t aware I was able to hear her even with the window closed. And again the beans in my enchilada plate tasted like they went bad a few days ago. I didn’t bother complaining or getting my money back because this has been an ongoing issue way before Covid. Usually come here all the time but today was the Absolute rudest service I had from my waitress to the manager than the cashier girl when I left. This is my last time I come here. I ordered the Saguest Birrias tacos, I've ever seen a manager serve as a redo after adding queso to them when they first served them two didn't have cheese, so they were sent back and the manager brought them an they were soaked birria tacos.. they had no form it was messy and I couldn't even pic them up to eat. So I told my waitress to ask him to come back to me and she rolled her eyes at me and he came back asked what was wrong and I said they're too soft they're falling apart an he said yeah there saugy an I agreed and said yes.

So he said well what else can I get you and without a menu i asked for fajitas with shrimp an beef plate flour tortillas and he suggested it was number #28 an i said no i think that was the birria plate and he told me I've been here 30 years i know my numbers and i said i didnt imply you didnt, i was just saying i thought the birria plate was number 28 but it after all was number 29, why that was a big GOD damn deal to him idk... so I kept the extra rice an beans I had ordered for the tacos even though the new plate had it, so I thought he wouldn't charge me since they messed up the first plate when i need the rice an beans but they still did. The whole entire time after I ate the fajita plate no one came to refill my tea until I went up to pay an the cashier sighed, about making me a tea also but yet she had no problem charging me for one... I paid 22.50 for one plate and an Extra plate of beans and rice and a to-go tea?!?!?!?! Didn't seem right. But like I said this is the last time...

I went to order tacos to go. I ordered 3 beef fajita tacos and 2 chicken fajita tacos. The beef fajita tacos were good but the chicken fajita tacos tasted ugly because they put cumin in it and I hate cumin. I called back and told them and the lady that was answered was really rude with me and said they don't put cumin in their food but I know what cumin is because I hate it and then she just hung up on me. If it's not cumin then they put some kind of spice that tasted really ugly. They never use to make them like that. I tried calling back and it just sounded busy. The waitress at the entrance was ok but she looked mean with no smile on her face and that really makes one feel not so good. I asked if they could sell me breakfast tacos and she said no like with a bluntly no. Before they use to work with you and now they have some really rude people. Not everyone but some. I only give it 1 Star because the beef fajita tacos were good and they have a lot of great food and other nice people working there but if they keep going this way eventually this place will become not so good with attitudes like that and some food starting to taste ugly. Before it was all good but yall gotta check yourselves and change some things here. They use to sell breakfast all day so what's up with this dumb change. I don't know if they changed management or what but yall are starting to make changes that are not cool at all. Tienen que cambiar unas cosas. Que sirvan almuerzo todo el dia como antes.
